Rose and Crown in Herefordshire

Our Sunday lunch at the Rose and Crown was really really tasty. It took a while to arrive, but the man who served us let us know that there was a delay on food as they were busy. We chose to wait and thank goodness we did - we were so happy with both the food and service. Didn't catch the man's name, but he spoke very well of everyone he works with, and was a delight all day. Makes these visits that extra bit special. Will be visiting again after our hols!!

Hubby and I had a very tasty meal here today. We were made to feel very welcome the minute we entered the bar. Great tasting and good value food. Our waitress was helpful, funny and lovely. Will return again if we are in the area. Highly recommended. Thank you 😊😊

I was there with family. The staff were warm and friendly and were always there when needed. My mum was delighted they had the crumble with custard on the oap menu. My sister and myself enjoyed 5 of the small plates which were reasonably priced and very tasty. If I am back hereford again, to see family, the Rose and Crown would be the place to go. Great time thanks guys x

Came on the off chance initially for some drinks, but ended up staying for food last night, at The Rose and Crown Hereford. The food we had was tasty! Very nice. Although we couldn't have the fish, the pies we both went for were nice and hot. Perhaps the only downfall was that there was too much.. which is no cause for concern!Before we got a chance to sit down, the young man by the name of Matt took the time to speak to us, with a grand big smile across his face. As it turned out, he became our waitor for the evening. I do not think we would have found better service anywhere across town. Always smiling, nothing ever any issue at all. It was clear that all couples and families were receiving this same Level of Service throughout the night. With all our food and drink delivered to us in double time, we never lifted a finger. He did not stop. This is a boy that cares. You keep going young man.Some Green King's we have been have often just lacked that little bit of character. The Rose and Crown made up for that this Saturday. It became clear to us that they are a company that take pride in keeping good people.We are planning our next visit already, and our hopes are high. We will not be disappointed. The perfect evening.

Nice pub, bar and restaurant area's available. Dog friendly in the bar section. Nice pub style meals at a good price. Outside seating areas and beer garden for when the weather is kind. Staff very friendly and welcoming.

Called into this pub on the way home, what a really nice clean & friendly pub, food was really good and great value for money. Children loved their food and were give a selection box 🎅 how very kind of the owners.we will be back next time we come to hereford.

Arranged to meet a few friends for lunch as a catch up before Christmas. The pub was very accommodating and seated us at a table large enough that we weren't banging elbows.Our visit was on a Tuesday and there was an offer on for a curry and a pint/drink for £10 (ish). I say "ish" as it depends on what drink you have, or so I believe. Sugar tax, maybe?!Ordering through an app has become the norm and I've got no issue with it. Its quick and easy and everything is brought to you. Only ever an issue if you can't get good mobile service.The food came out piping hot and very well presented. Good sized portions too! No complaints about the food at all.The only criticism I do have, is that the choices of curry on the offer, were very limited. That being said, I highly recommend the katsu curry!

Visiting Hereford on a 2 night break. We decided to try The Rose & Crown as it was within walking distance of where we were staying. Staff were amazing. Very friendly and attentive. Good family atmosphere and a lively bar. Dropped in for a quick bite to eat and ended spending the evening. Food was great! No complaints. Enjoyed it so much we went back the second night and received the same welcome, service and good food 👍🏻👍🏻
