Shabagh Tandoori in Herefordshire

6 of us went for a birthday celebration at the weekend. Took 45 minutes from ordering for starters to arrive, some came out together others came out later. Took another 30 minutes until main meals arrived. Mains varied, the most basic was a chicken Tikka Masala which was so poor it was inedible, lamb dishes were chewy and hard, a couple of the special dishes lacked flavor, finesse and was poorly presented. The service was very poor and it appeared that the take away service was a priority rather than people in the restaurant. For 6 people the bill came to £237 … way too much for poor food and poor service. Advise to give this one a miss, we won’t be returning.

Regarding old score... it's worth to visit. Food is amazing. Awesome atmosphere! I have been here several times and not get disappointed with service. If its not right they will make it right. Highly recommended

Not sure if its the same when you eat in but i ordered a lamb curry and accomneyments. The lamb was So tough it was inedible, and when i phoned to try and sort something out I was accused of trying to get a free meal! The guy on the phone was a little stumped when he challenged me on being able to return the food because he thought I'd eaten the lot when in actual fact the whole lot was easily returned. I was then told i wasnt entitled to a refund because I had ordered through Just Eat.Needless to say after this experiance i will be using one of the other Indian's in town next time.

Some of the Indian dishes are not necessarily as they say on the menu! It was a bit misleading when i was presented with a chickpeas and cheddar cheese curry (indian curries don't use cheddar cheese!!) instead of the expected paneer curry (Indian cheese). Had also ordered a veg dosa (made of lentils generally), but instead got a pancake! Being an Indian I understand what I'm expecting from the curries I order, so it's annoying to encounter pretend dishes!It's OK if people want to improvise recipes, but letting customers when placing an order/a note on the menu is helpful, so at least I've a choice and get what I've ordered for! Most of my dishes were quite disappointing overall!

We ordered a take out to be delivered to a holiday rental recently from this restaurant. It was delivered by a courteous member of staff, to our rear gate. The food tasted magnificent and was of high quality. Everyone in my party thoroughly enjoyed it.

I was looking forward to a tasty meal but I was sadly disappointed.The meal arrived on time but it wasn’t worth the wait.It was very bland and runny with 5 pieces of chicken. The worst meal I’ve ever had.I would not even feed to my dog.

Just had a takeaway delivered by just eat. It was ahead of time given and was absolutely delicious. Thank you. The meat in each dish was so juicy and succulent. One of the best takeout meals I have had. mark

We had our first delivery since we moved to the area in June. We were really pleased , we pre-ordered but because it was busy we had to have it half an hour later than planned but they communicate with us all the way including when they got into our village. Apart from forgetting our bottle of beer,which they offered to bring back to us, we declined and asked for it to be given next time. All food was hot and delicious even though we had ordered for 6 people and we live 16 minutes drive away . Very happy

Excellent food and service I was very impressed from unfolding my napkin for me to the impeccably clean menus and table wear to the beautifully flavoured curry and rice dishes we had. One of the best tasting curries I have had. Excellent customer care also.I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be returningMany thanks x
