Tabernacle Tearoom at Baileys Home and Garden in Herefordshire

Loved it here!! Found the drawer handles I'd been looking for for ages, birthday present for my dad and the most amazing smelling soaps! And plenty more besides.Had plenty of lovely kitchenware that was very tempting, but really useful too. The furniture was simple but well made, covered in beautiful linen but quite pricey.There is unfortunately no cafe (or toilets that I could find!) since lockdown, so don't be too long.I would have taken photos but you are requested not to do so. However, Baileys have produced a couple of books, which looked rather nice and were glorified magazines of the products.Some things I thought were very expensive, but yet others, I was pleasantly surprised at the price tag.But a very nice gentle way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Watch out for the speed bumps on the way in they're almost as harsh as the attitude of the owner.Décor is lovely but it's always odd having the owner peer over your shoulder to look at private information on your phone and tell you not to take photos (I was answering a work email) and then running away into her office. Pathetic attitude.

We've always really enjoyed visits to Baileys but the questionable prices and the poor attitude from staff, mainly the owner, is absolutely appalling. I doubt customer service training would be a priority when the owner herself has such a poor approach to it.

Such a beautiful Home store.Exquisitely curated...has plants,books,garden objet,the most beautiful linen by the metre,candles,World foods.Totally unique. Staff lovely.

Stunning place, you can spend a good few hours here admiring all the beautiful interiors, it's impossible to visit without buying something even if its only a bar of their soap. The staff are extremely courteous and helpful.

I can’t tell you how much I look forward to visiting Baileys. It’s a real treat. I live hundreds of miles away but always make a detour if anywhere in the vicinity. There’s a but coming….I went yesterday and took my sister for her first time. The stock is still lovely, unique and beautifully presented but customer service is sliding. You can pick up on a atmosphere in a place imperceptibly and Baileys needs to put some thought into more of a welcome. There’s no cafe now, that’s fine, I get that it’s tricky in these challenging times. However, this place is in the middle of the countryside and to remove the customer loo is a mistake. Myself and another family coincidentally also from south coast asked to use the loo after a very long journey. The reply ‘no’ was a tad abrupt. I suspect because they are asked often??Now, I don’t want to blame all staff so I’m going to single one out who needs to work on how she comes across, dark hair, about 40 and wearing a lovely necklace. I asked wether they re-upholster sofas bought from them a few years ago. Another abrupt no. Another member of staff came out and explained why (too busy). I can’t help feeling that if I was buying furniture or selecting a new sofa that obviously takes more time than filling my basket with goodies, a loo would have materialised. It may be the staff loo but you wouldn’t let a big spender leave the premises to find a cafe or petrol station would you??

As a young artist, I was a huge admirer of this shop. It was a comforting and inspiring experience with every visit. However, yesterday I had an encounter with the owner that left me in tears. He asked me not to take a photo of a book which I was going to ask for as a gift (my family intended to go to do their Christmas shopping later in the year). I apologised and said of course, trying to make light of an innocent mistake. He then demanded that I leave out of nowhere and accused me of taking photos previously throughout the store, which I hadn’t -He accused me of being a liar and told me that he had been watching me on cctv- quite frankly he made me feel as if I was beneath him and came across quite aggressive. I am 21 year old woman and for a man quite a lot my senior, to speak to me like this left me feeling intimidated and humiliated. It was completely irrational and inappropriate. I will not be visiting again.

If your looking for something different this is the place to visit It's got to be great as its called BAILEY'S.....

First experience visiting this store after being highly recommended to me. It’s exquisite, every item is crafted to a high standard of quality. Great range of products available. Staff are welcoming and friendly. One lady in particular was ever so lovely and assisted me whilst looking at the beautiful rings on display. I had my eye on a certain ring however after listening to her advice, I tried on another ring she recommended. I was astonished to learn after purchasing that this specific chalcedony had emotional healing properties and helped with obsessive compulsive disorder, something I was diagnosed with in the last few months.I would hope this will reach the lady that served us on this day, I would like to thank you for being so kind, truthful and friendly.Will most certainly visit again, in the future.
