The venue is superb but the service this Saturday was beyond a joke. The blonde lady who served us was miserable and actually quite weird, I've never seen such a distant and arrogant bar person in a long time. Made my wife and i quite uncomfortable to the point where we were on our first visit and we were quite friendly, asked if she was having a good day and that the venue was lovely.. But she just ignored us.. No response.. Such a shame as if the venue wasn't so nice outdoors (with plenty of seating across multiple levels) we'd never come back. Unbelievable. I'll definitely return for a drink and relax but hope I'd not be served by her again. And if i see her I'd definitely ask her name so i can name and shame her. Uncomfortably strange afternoon.

Extremely disappointed with meal the Dauphinoise potatoes which was cold like from fridge and mushroom blue cheese Wellington & vegetables was warm. Even though the meal was cooked again overall the meal was bland and tastelessDrink I ordered lemonade with ice but they added slice lemon which I do never orderedEven though we were offered free deserts to due chef incompetence this was declined the main course left me with bad taste in my mouthI found the reviews on their website hard to believe given lack of proper cooking on my mealI would not recommend eating here

Very welcome and accommodating hosts. We have witnessed thatthey go the extra mile for special diets (which we are not) too which is good. We have eaten there a few times when we are staying in our static caravan and always been very happy with our meals, the hospitality and price. Highly recommend. Eileen & David from Cheshire.

Very disappointed with the Sunday roast.Meat pink and hard to carve and the Yorkshire pudding were burnt. We asked twice for a change and still the same came back. There was not enough veg for the four of us.The owner told us that the meat ( Beef ) came like this.Soaked with gravy to disguise the pink meat.I have never cooked my beef pink The Maidenhead had such good reviews. Only to be let down. The young lady who served us was very helpful and a credit to the pub.

Didn't eat here. But I popped in for a pint on a cold wet day. Log burner roaring, place was clean and staff were friendly. Would definitely go again.

We had a great Sunday roast at The Maidenhead. The food was delicious and the service prompt and friendly. It was the last Sunday before Christmas so there were Christmas crackers at every table which I thought was a lovely touch. Highly recommend!

Food was good quality and tasty. Very little choice if you are vegetarian, none if you are vegan.Service was ok, the servers seemed new and unsure of things. Im sure this will improve with experience. The delivery of cutlery was wrapped up together, so we had to help ourselves. Not a polished service.Good value meal overall.

Had a really good meal. The pigeon was excellent, a dish you don't see often. Service was excellent; pleasant friendly and prompt. Only disappointment was just a single vegetarian option.

Arrived just before 230pm but kindly agreed to offer us a table. Really lovely home cooked food. Friendly team - would recommend and will return.
