Popped in on our way back from doing a show stand at wonderwool in Builth Wells. A beautiful spot to eat watching the wildlife on the river and its banks. Really welcoming and friendly staff. We ordered a meat roast dinner and a nut roast dinner. Absolutely yummy, proper cooked meal with lovely veg and really tasty too. Highly recommend, thank you 😊❤️

We found this fabulous little gem by accident...what a find! Thank you Jan (supervisor) for looking after us. The setting is idyllic and the food was delicious. Never tasted brie like it. The batter was so light and the garlic mushrooms were so so tasty, along with the main course of scampi. I would highly recommend and will look forward to returning some day.

Stopped off for a couple of drinks. Lovely outdoor seating area overlooking the river Wye. Staff really friendly and welcoming. Didn't eat so can't comment on food. Lovely Pub 👍

A great place, by the river Wye, for food, drink & cocktails. When it's su NY, sit outside and drink in the river and the cows in the field on the other side. The staff are very attentive - at busy times it maybe advisable to book.

Welcoming and friendly with the exception of whoever worked there and started telling us we couldn't park in the car park, which was empty, and made the group park the cars on the verge of the road, leaving the car park empty. We really couldn't figure out why.The views from the back of the pub are lovely, and the food was fine, nothing special to write about but it was fine. We had the Sunday roast. Service was quick enough, especially since they're were 20 of us. One of their beers had gone off, but because I was hanging from the night before, I hadn't really gathered my thoughts to say anything until I was half a pint into it, and by then didn't feel it was fair to complain so had a different ale which was great, so no idea how they would have responded.

Lovely local type pub by the river, turned up at Friday lunch time with a toddler and a dog and was welcomed in the bar and found a nice table by the fire, good ale on tap and had a couple of baguettes, which were very tasty and well proportioned. Will definitely stop again if passing by on our way home from holidays in Wales

We had to sit in the bar due to having a dog. It was cold though the owner kindly seated us by fire which he stoked up. Food overpriced compared to better pubs we had visited that week but both the burgers and gammon were very well cooked and tasty. Fish however was horrible, my daughter could not eat in. Tasteless and watery, didn’t look well cooked. Service was poor, food arrived but no cutlery or condiments came with it. Very slow to bring them out so left staring at our food. No ambience, no music just adults shouting and using inappropriate language at times. Lighting outside non existent. Overall disappointing.

Stopped by to have a snack at lunchtime and had to push back our evening booking elsewhere. Very good portions, very well prepared food from a no frills menu value for money menu. Decent choice of drinks. Pleasant helpful proprietor.

Stopped in the boat in on the way back from looking at A puppy and was pleased we could take our dog in and sat and had a lovely mixed grill and the wife had lasagne, both were tasty and decent portions and we'll certainly pop in again when passing.
