My wonderful mother Cynthia, beautiful partner Sharon, best and only brother Gareth and his partner Mandy. Mum and Sharon have had several Sunday dinners whilst visiting the local car boot and have raved about it. Normally I'd be watching F1. So glad no F1 today🤭.Pub is warm and friendly. Service superb and the food top rate. There was a selection of the meats. Today it was Turkey, beef or pork. We all chose the beef and were not disappointed. Yorkshire puddings, veg, potatoes both roasted and boiled, gravy and cheesy leeks were topped off with the most wonderful horseradish sauce.Pudding divided us; 3-2 split over the lemon cheesecake with strawberries and ice cream V's the sticky toffee with custard. We couldn't agree which was the nicest 😁The pub has a variety of beers, some casked and local I believe. Best of all though they have local cider Weston's on tap in the form of stowfords press. It's a fresh cider that compliments the food nicely.Thank you all for a great space to catch up in whilst enjoying a wonderful meal👏

Had an excellent meal and dessert, staff were extremely friendly and managed to fit us in despite us not booking a table. Honeycomb cheesecake is the best.

Can't often say a meal was perfect but had Sunday dinner today and it was lovely, piping hot, fresh vegetables and tender meat, cauliflower cheese served in a separate dish and extra gravy if you want it. Passed this place many times and never stopped but will definitely be visiting again.

Me, my husband and little boy went for dinner on a Friday, we booked last minute as we were staying on holiday in the area, on arriving there was such a lovely warm welcome, really lovely staff, amazing food, we had steak which was perfectly cooked and steak and ale pie - all homemade, good prices, really friendly welcoming place for children also. Shame we don’t live closer as we’d be regulars for sure.

Stopped today for Sunday lunch. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was very good and more than enough and I was pleasantly surprised how cheap it was. Will definitely be calling again if we are passing.

Very friendly landlord, Fitted us in with no prior warning and the food of excellent quality. The Sunday roast was one of the best quality I've ever had and the price was very reasonable. This is a family run pub with a very warm and inviting feel. Nothing seems like too much trouble and really is well worth a visit an easy 5 star review
