Absolutely fantastic experience. Was staying in the area for a long weekend and booked for a carvery. Generous portions and lovely food, all served with much care and attention.

·

One of the best carvery Sunday lunches we've ever had! Staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. Great meat & veg selection. Highly recommended

Situated a few miles from Bromyard and down a lovely daffodil & straddle-lined driveway this is a great find! Lovely setting with access to fishing, lakes, walks and wildlife. The pub is old and traditional both outside and inside, with wooden tables, a great log fire, comfortable chairs and very welcoming staff. The food is very good...an interesting & extensive menu, local produce, good chefs and friendly service.Be warned...the portions are really generous!! I had a delicious mushroom soup with bread rolls & butter, followed by steak and ale pie, chips and peas: my wife had the cod & chips with mushy peas. Both beautifully cooked & nicely presented, but neither of us had any room for dessert! We enjoyed a pint of ipa, a pint of local cider and an orange with lemonade,The bill came to a very reasonable £40...money well spent on a memorable, enjoyable and well served meal. Highly recommended!

Lovely food, attentive staff well worth a visit. Great value for money we will be returning.

·

First time to the Sunday carvery as we are new to the area. All six in our party were highly impressed with the atmosphere, quality and quantity of food (the puds were fab) and value for money. Last but not least the staff were lovely and really switched on. We will be back to try the food on another day of the week.

Really good carvery. Really welcoming staff. Big open fires adding to the charm of the interior decor. A real gem.

·

Always guaranteed fantastic food. Without a doubt the best carvery this side of the Channel.Brilliant attentive staff.

·

Yet another jewel in Hereford if you desire a Sunday carvery to die for then this is the place. The staff are so helpful and will bend over backwards to provide you with everything you want and desire of them and the fisherman arms. It's my most favourite place to go for a Sunday lunch. And if you still have space after lunch you must try the puddings there to die for

All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, however, the food was a bit of a let down. We had the Sunday roast carvery, and the meat was a bit dry, possibly due our booking being at 3pm, maybe we should have gone earlier. The veg was also a bit hard and only warm. Lovely pub and grounds though and nice woodland walk.

After booking a special Christmas carvery lunch for my family, we enjoyed a truly delicious roast Turkey/beef lunch followed by seasonal desserts. Delicious. The friendly and helpful staff helped us enjoy this special meal. A roaring open fire in the huge fireplace added to the cosy atmosphere. Will definitely revisit for another family meal and go walking in the lovely surroundings woods and lakes. Wonderful hidden jewel in North Herefordshire.
