The Grapes in Herefordshire

I'm struggling reading all the recent positive reviews and wonder if we were in a different pub! Midday, completely empty. Very limited menu shown to us. Chose sandwiches which stated they were freshly made with fresh bread. It couldn't possibly have been today's bread and I was left mystified as to how anyone could ruin a cheese sandwich! The side salad (predominantly pea shoots which should be crunchy & fresh) was limp & wilted. The side order of chips were the final straw. Soggy, dark brown and tasted of oil that had had far too many outings.Interestingly, we were not asked if everything was OK but maybe that was because we left so much. An expensive experience best avoided.

It was a great pub, then a restaurant and now a great pub again 😀

Definitely coming back here! Food is amazing. Staff were lovely. Best food I have ever tasted!

Amazing food and lots of vegetarian choices. All food is freshly made and it nice and hot. lovely staff too :)

Lovely place to eat for a special occasion. You may struggle to find something to eat if you have multiple food intollerances or allergies, but the staff went out of their way to check ingredients etc.

Staff were great. Food was better than expected. Not bad at all. Real ale, can't beat it.

Good pub, good beer, great staff, terrible pool table 🙂
