The pub is sited in a gorgeous village, close to the river. Handy if you are staying at the campsite nextdoor. Pub is well-kept inside and out, with a lovely beer garden and covered patio. The HPA was in good condition if a bit on the expensive side.Unfortunately the meal was a letdown. £15 for a pizza and pint. The pizza was disappointingly small (~9”). The pizza base was of the cheap, frozen, low quality variety, rock hard around the crust. Toppings were OK. At that price, I was expecting something of much better quality akin to a proper Italian restaurant. Even a Wetherspoons pizza is far better. The pizza was worth £6 at most. A friend had the curry which was also disappointing in portion size and quality. Maybe chef was having a bad day, as I see most other reviewers are praising the food.

What a delightful public house lovely staff . Had a day out around this area today as had my grandson for the day 😀 and we found this place to have a drink lovely and clean . Nice to be able to just go in the summer evenings for a nice relaxing drink . Even told us about a few things around the area . Thankyou .

Dog friendly, lovely pint of Wye valley hpa, and Henry Weston's vintage on draught if your not driving.. Sunday lunch looked good if dog snacks are anything to go by..

Excellent and very friendly service. A totally refurbished pub, modern but classic, TWO real fires on the go on a cold day, and food worth travelling really long distances for! Plus Wye Valley Bitter on tap! Brilliant!

A great find. Most welcoming pub I've been to in a long time. Well-kept Wye Valley pint, excellent lunch menu. We had Barbadian jackfruit curry (pub curries are usually pretty forgettable; this was interesting, spicy and tasty) and home made beef & ale pie which was tender and had excellent pastry. Worth going back for more

Simply amazing a very warm welcome on arrival the staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The German beer was lovely and cold. The food was 5 star I can quite honestly say that was the best steak I have ever eaten. My wife had the belly pork and really enjoyed it the chef is fantastic. This is a good honest pub with great beer and food I would highly recommend a visit to the New Harp Inn.

I had a lovely meal here on a Sunday when every pub for miles seemed to be fully booked. I called ahead and they had plenty of space - perhaps down to its lovely location deep in the Hereford countryside. The service was top notch and the food was lovely. A few things I'd like to have ordered had sold out before I arrived as it was a late booking, so I'll never know how good the fish platter is but my wife's vegetarian main was amazing and much better than I expected from the description on the menu. The scampi I had was lovely too. There's a lot of outside seating and they were taking COVID precautions seriously, even after rules had been relaxed in England a few places were enforcing them, which was reassuring. Definitely worth a visit.

Went for a meal here on a Saturday evening, seemed fairly busy, and 18 of us in total. We had heard that the service was slow, so had booked early at 5pm, but also because we had 8 little kiddos that needed to be fed early and we were camping at Tresseck campsite, a 2 min walk away. But the menu had masses to offer, the service was really quite quick, and the plates a great size. I had the cider braised ham and chicken salad, and it was delicious, a great size for the price (£13) and lots of different yummy choices like stuffed peppers, homemade coleslaw and crunchy onion topping mixed in. Others in the party had burgers (very nice, quite large; a vegan option available) and the lamb (really lovely, especially with a bright and zingy orange and parsnip veloute mash thing). The hosts were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Lovely outside dining at the back, under a grapevine covered pergola area, and a pretty beer garden full of cosmos and rudbeckia flowers, with a stream at the end (beware the crocodile!!) Thank you for looking after us x

Delicious lunchtime meal from short menu, cooked by a friendly and passionate top quality chef. Caribbean curry was amazing and selection of desserts all superb

Excellent meal. Such a varied and unusual menu, a credit to the chef. Front of house were excellent on a busy night and the food was wonderful. Nice beer garden at the back also
