We came down to surprise my brother on his birthday . Rang ahead and the staff added us to the table at short notice but kept it a surprise.Outstanding food and staff were excellent friendly and welcomed us .The manager even came over to ask us if our food and experience was ok.It was better than ok , quite simply the best Hake I’ve every eaten !Beautiful food and restaurant.Look forward to seeing you again .Thank you so much .

Thoroughly enjoyed my birthday lunch at The Moody Cow a couple weeks ago. The service, experience and food was great. Would recommend and look forward to returning soon.

Had a fabulous meal here with friends. It was their first visit and absolutely loved it. Always such a warm welcome for us and our dog, and always dog treats for our boy. The food was fantastic, especially the pie which was delicious and piping hot which was wonderful. Great desserts too. Will be returning soon. Our favourite dining.

Purely by chance we booked the gazebo for our evening meal as the pub itself was fully booked. It turned out for us, to be the best table in the house (or rather outside of it). There is a wood burner to keep you warm, which you can keep topped up. It had it's own charm and was very comfortable and spacious. The pub also provided a blue tooth speaker so we could play our own music to add to our wonderful experience. We were well catered for and the staff were very attentive (especially as they were short staffed). The food was lovely too. I would recommend eating here.

Great food with a sizzling steak on a hot stone option and a lovely atmosphere! The staff were very polite and welcoming! Would definitely visit again if in the local area!

Really lovely, friendly, atmospheric pub. Warm welcome. Food is delicious. Excellent decor and attention to detail. Coming again this week to dine before we leave the UK.

Great service and outstanding food. Quite possibly the best roast dinner I have ever had.

Really delicious food served in a really relaxing atmosphere and decor. Ate here twice when we were visiting the UK. The staff are excellent and attentive, the owner was very friendly too. Great range of starters (the pie I had was out of this world, pastry was amazing), mains and desserts. Will definitely be returning.

Had a very decent lunch here, midweek and it was still pretty busy. Either a good local reputation or good Goggle reviews, or both! The menu looked very good so we had starters, mains and a dessert; all of them very good presentation and equally tasty. Main are around £17 to £18 pounds and for a family of 3 including drinks the bill was around £100 which was worth it.Fantastic food, good friendly service and interesting decor, all in all a great lunch and we'd happy return or stop again. Booking would be recommended seeing how busy they were.My partner's feedback is not enough wines sold by the glass and my only request during the meal was more bread for chicken parfait, one small slice of brioche was not enough for one large delicious looking slice of parfait. We still left very happy!
