The Oak at Staplow in Herefordshire

Enjoyed another fantastic meal here this evening. The food is of the highest standard, delicious and very good portions. Fantastic staff and friendly owners who all go out of their way no matter how busy they are to make you feel welcome. Cannot fault this establishment. Thank you and we will continue to dine and quiz here in the future. Julie and Steve.

I visited this pub today... I thought the staff were warm and welcoming,until I met the manager (male), who was very rude to his staff witnessing that they need to get a grip I didn't realise that they had stopped serving food at 14:00 and apologised to the staff when the Managerment started to have a go at them.. although some folk are less fortunate to have a business it does not give the right for a person that runs a business to speak to them the way he did absolutely disgusting learn management skills and treat you staff with respect and compliment once in a while. They have done a fantastic job.

Lovely pub and accommodated a large party with a dog and infant. However there where no baby changing facilities, no childs menu and it was quite cramped. If we where an adult only party this would be 5* as the food and drinks where lovely.

Had a beautiful lunch here today, celebrating our Son’s birthday.Food was amazing, atmosphere very warming, service verygood.My Son was even given a birthday card from ‘The Team’, whata fabulous gesture & appreciated.Can’t wait to return, oh yes, forgot to mention….Chris the Manager,sadly wearing a Welsh rugby shirt!!! Guess somebody has to,who came around chatting & this was nice to see.Keep up the high standards & your staff are so friendly& polite too.Highly recommend a visit here to anyone.

We can not recommend this place highly enough. Superb service. Chris was great at front of house! Our pre-ordered chateaubriand was wonderfully presented, cooked to perfection and melted in our mouths! Great atmosphere and friendly staff. We will certainly be visiting again. Thank you all for a lovely evening!

Good food and service. The only downside was out our table location, which was in the section with the view to the kitchens giving us for smells on our clothing and also draught. We will go back but ask for a better table.Book early as this is a very popular venue

What a treat being there. The portion sizes are very generous and so many options. I would have taken pictures of the food but we ate it all so quickly. The chocolate brownie is a must have. The service was also excellent. 👌🏾

Had my belated 70 birthday at the Oak Inn with family. Lovely food and the staff were excellent. Plenty of choice on the menu and the younger family members loved the pizza 🍕. Festive Game Pie scrumptious.

Had a very good even meal here last Friday. All 3 of our main meals were delicious (fish and chips, gammon steak and trout fillet).We shared 2 desserts which were also very nice.The service was friendly and efficient. Although it was very busy the food was quite quick.Unfortunately I was driving so I did not get a chance to try the beers!

Staying at local farm, we decided to try this Pub/Inn for evening meal.Definitely had to make reservation as was nearly fully booked on a week night.Friendly welcome, tasty food and good beer. What more could you want?We both had pie, Steak/Kidney and Chicken. Both were delicious. Well worth a visit if in the area.
