We had a thoroughly delicious meal at The Oak this evening to celebrate Grandma's birthday. The food, service and surroundings were faultless but, much more than that, the attention for the birthday girl was amazing; nothing was too much trouble, including extra cushions, assistance to and from the table and even a chair and blanket outside while we waited for our lift home!Thank you so much for making the whole evening special and stress-free! We will definitely be back - and recommending broadly!

I was on a motor biking weekend in Hereford. I put, Michelin restaurants in the phone, this place came up. The sad nav said l was 18 mins away so l went and had lunch at the most amazing wonderful beautiful Pub. " THE OAK ". Fore Street Wigmore HR6 9UJ. THhe service was impeccable. The " FOOD " was just stunning. The Guinea fowl was cooked to perfection, crispy skin, but, perfectly rested juicy and succulent. My Sweet, Passion Fruit Parfait was refreshing and tantalising on the palate.Congratulations to the Management and the Chef a his brigade at The Oak Wigmore HR6 9UJ.Congratulations. A wonderful experience. We booked both rooms and dinner, and the time spent there was a delight; from the design and furnishings to the amazing food, wine and service. Lene is an absolutely superb host and our visit to The Oak proved to be the best ' dinner, bed and breakfast' we have had in this country. We can only give The Oak the highest recommendation possible.

Fantastic place. Amazing food and lovely staff. Nothing was too much trouble and our dog Jeff loved the duck fillet - but different to the usual carrot or biscuits!

The Oak offers fantastic food in a beautifully renovated old building - we stayed overnight and had a truly relaxing and rejuvenating stay. Thank you to the team at the Oak.

Evening meal was excellent, brilliant chips perfectly cooked steak, service spot on, we stayed over one night in a lovely room, the bathroom was very modern but a little impractical. Facilities were quite basic. Breakfast was surprisingly disappointing, very over cooked bacon, discoloured eggs, and dry home made beans. However the fruit salad was nice. The host was delightful but very overworked, would definitely go back for dinner but maybe not to stay over.

Stayed over for the annual "french night". Lene was the perfect host assisted by some wonderful staff. The french theme- meal was delicious 11/10. Met some lovely locals and had a fab time. Tasty breakfast with home made beans. Looking forward to the Argentinian meal in Jan. Did the Wigmore loop walk 10 miles next day - beautiful autumn colour. Thanks to all involved.

Lene and her team take exceptional care of their guests. It makes a noticeable difference to the dining experience. The food at the Oak is amongst the best in an area already known for high quality food, but combined with the friendly service this becomes the best dining option around.

We went to The Oak for Sunday lunch and the food was delicious. We had the sirloin roast beef and the roast pork loin all cooked to perfection. The gravy, the roast potatoes, the sauces and all the vegetables were so flavoursome. Not really having room for dessert but seeing what was on offer we had to give them a try. We had the chocolate parfait & lime pie bit again delicious. The setting is lovely we just wish it was a bit closer to us, but worth the one hour drive to get there. We'll definitely return.
