What a superb lunch - good choices beautifully cooked. Staff so caring and pleasant. For me being disabled excellent toilet facilities. Dog friendly too! The whole experience was excellent. We shall return and recommend to family and friends.

Where do I start. Awful Meal this evening. My husband ordered a chicken curry and I ordered a sirloin steak to be cooked medium. The meal arrived and we were asked almost immediately if our meal was ok to which we answered yes. Unfortunately this was premature. As I attempted to cut my steak I was struggling with grissle and fat. I realise that a sirloin can have fat especially around the edge but this was quite extensive through the steak. I ate what I could and called over the person who appeared to be in charge. I explained the situation and she said she would mention it to the chef.on clearing the dishes she informed us that's how it comes and sometimes you get a bad cut. Due to our experience we decided against desserts and more or less immediately we were presented with the bill and got the feeling we weren't welcome. I did ask if there was a possibility of a small reduction or anything could be done to be told no that's what happens sometimes. I said a good chef should notice a bad cut and it shouldn't be served. She said thats what sirloin steak is to which we replied I have had many a sirloin steak and had not had a problem before. I then asked if she was the owner to which she replied no. Can I suggest the owner gives this person a customer services course as she was rude and certainly did not care about customers needs. After quite a few words which were getting a bit heated due to her attitude unfortunately we had no alternative to pay the bill and leave. We will certainly NOT be returning to this establishment and will pass on our experience to anyone else that is thinking of visiting. A bad meal can be experienced we are not denying but argumentative and unsympathetic attitude from staff is definitely not acceptable!!!

Having eaten at this restaurant several times and always found it really good, my wife took me here for a birthday lunch. We both had fish and chips and to say we were disappointed would be an understatement!!Both our chips were nice, but our fish was very overcooked and dry.We were going to send it back, but there was only one staff member on duty doing Both the bar and waitressing and she was running around trying to keep everything running smoothly, so was under preasure. We complained when we paid the bill and was told "she would tell the chef".She very kindly waived the cost of our 2 drinks as a way of saying sorry. From the conversation with the staff member it would appear they were short staffed. To me that is no excuse for overcooked food - be a long time until we go there again.

Fantastic pub, wonderful food, in fact the best vegetarian Sunday dinner I've had in a pub ever. Really friendly staff, run by a lovely young family, the locals were incredibly friendly, welcoming and chatty too. Stayed overnight in campervan at the campsite at rear of pub, which is great too with very good clean shower block. Would highly recommend this beautiful pub, I'm definitely going again next time I'm in the area😊

Third time of being here the first couple of times the food was really good but tonight 04/12 /21. The child's pizza was shocking it was a typical cheap one you would buy from lidl, completely tasteless and dry. My partner ordered the spicy bean burger which was greasy and basically mush with hardly any flavour. The prawn cocktail was pretty small but for an extra £2.50 you can make it a large with four tiny slices of cheap white bread and a tiny tub of sun flower spread. The steaks tasted tainted with a sour aftertaste. We paid our bill in full but it wasn't worth it, we felt very let down with the food and we will definitely not be back.

Had the beefburger and side of the largest onion rings I've ever had! Plus partner had Cajun chicken burger, again very tasty. Good pub grub, friendly staff and accept dogs in the bar area ( doggie water bowl available).

We (company of 4) visited it just for lunch. It is quite spacious and cozy place. We ordered grilled chicken breast (£12,5); fish and chips (£8.50); Steak burger (£11.25) and everything was perfect.Fast and friendly service.Big parking and nice garden terrace if it's good weather.
