Lovely food and friendly staff. A locals' pub (all seemed friendly and welcoming on the night and even knew I'd seen the Specials boards). Lots of gin, whisky and beer to select from. Gin mainly Gordons and Whitley Neill, but some others.Accommodating to requests about altering dish, so no potatoes but more salad. Also offered rice or veg.Be aware 2 different special boards - one in dining area and one in bar area.Planning to return.

My wife and I got a takeout carvery on Sunday, the staff were as fantastic as ever and the food was soooo good 👍.we both highly recommend eating here, the carvery is in our opinion the best we have had, well done and thank you to all the staff, see you soon

Great traditional pub atmosphere, the staff are really friendly and can't do enough to provide a great experience.Very clean and tidy, well looked after.Food is of a great quality and the portions are large as well. There is a great selection of food for the Sunday carvery and it is reasonably priced as well.Well worth a visit for a family meal or those wanting a good meal on their own.

Had two very tasty meals here last week. The staff were also very lovely and friendly. Definitely recommend it!

All the staff are warm, friendly, and welcoming. Can not recommend the food especially the Sunday carvery enough. Just make sure you book! Thank you ladies.

What a place. I can't fault anything about this place. Staff friendly, restaurant clean, and most importantly, the food, "TOP NOTCH" I would prefer to give this place 1 star just to stop people going here and making it hard to get a table, but that would be selfish. A table of 4, Pre drinks, Carvery, and a deserts washed down with a coffees all for £80 😯 We even questioned the bill, thinking they'd forgotten something, but no, it was correct. We will be back 👏👏

Lovely clean and cosy pub. Plenty of parking and a warm friendly bunch of staff. Food is not expensive and high quality. A pint of Stowford Press, lasagne and an ice cream sundae later I was stuffed and smiley. Opposite a photogenic T34 tank too!

Staying fairly local to this Pub/Inn we decided to try it out. Positioned on a busy main road, don't let that put you off!From the warm welcome by Lesley, the local beers and the great food we couldn't have asked for more 😊. We had the lasagna and the steak ale pie, all home made and really tasty. Good prices as well. We will definitely try to get back for another visit. Absolutely recommended.

Excellent service. We got sorted with a table even though a large group had arrived before us. The food was delicious and the Rump steak was especially good. Maybe could've had a few more chips. All in all a very clean and safe experience.
