Yates's Hereford in Herefordshire

Me and my mum came here for breakfast as our normal dwelling has closed down due to the owners moving away. Unfortunately our experience was not a positive one.Full English breakfast: my mum ordered this one the toast was burnt all around the crusts and black lines running along the toast, the bacon was just the medallion part of the bacon and its was small and thin and hard and the sausages was anemic.Veggie breakfast: I ordered again the toast was burnt the same, the veggie sausage was dry (you got to be careful with qourn sausages cooked to long they go like cardboard pre cooked and kept under a bain Marie they will also go like cardboard and hard). I was disappointed with the bean portion I asked for no mushrooms and tomatos and have more beans instead I thought i didn't get the extra beans because the portion size was so small I looked at my mums and couldn't believe that she had a tablespoon full of beans, the beans are the cheapest part of the breakfast I think you can afford to give a proper portion 1 normal size tin of beans is 2 portions well I must if had 2 tablespoons full.Beans on toast: my 2 year old son had again the toastbwas burnt and he did not touch it and he normally loves beans on toast and eats it.Staff wise: our teas was brought to us with no teaspoons to stir the teabag. They seemed miserable and unhappy to work. I asked for a high chair and the gentleman said he would get one for me well I had to ask another member of staff as the 1st didn't bring it would have been quicker for them to tell me where they was.Safe to say we will not be visiting again sorry

Pre booked table to watch football. Great pub. Excellent manager

Cracking pub, really enjoy coming to watch the big football matches. Always have something going on like 'first & last goal scorer' or 'Pontoon Football'. Beer is always good, food is hot and tasty. Would give it 6 stars if was an option. Keep up the great work to the team at Yates

Craig the manager is a credit to this pub and the company, very friendly service which was on point, standards are excellent and we felt safe and secure thorough our visit. Food was hot and tasty but as I said we were blown away by the service, definatley be returning next time we are in Hereford

Won’t be back , might be a nice place to get drunk with your friends at night but not for family’s and they don’t cater for all diets ,Yates need to get with the times on diet . staff were spinning out ( wasn’t busy ) everything felt rushed unorganised .The Positives : was clean , food came quick( but wasn’t busy ). The staff did try but not relaxed experience.Nice set up inside pub .If you looking for a cheap meal , friendly relaxed staff with more options on diet and who cater for all diets then Wetherspoons much better .We thought we would give it a try seen that we often go to Wetherspoons .at least we know now .1 star for this experience maybe more stars I if came with friends to just have drinks

Booked a table for lunch as some of my friend Stu's famiy were doing a pre Christmas visit. We hadn't been in for lunch since May when they last visited& there is a new menu now. We all enjoyed our meals & the table we reserved had plenty of room for Stu's sight dog. The staff were very polite, frendly & checked all was ok a couple of times withut being intrusive. Stu & I know Craig, the manager of this Yates, he was on a well deservwd day off, but his staff did us proud in his abscence so a big thank you!

Come here often to watch the football. Great atmosphere, great tasting food, good priced beer which tastes great. Best part is the table service. Watch the match and don't leave my seat. Perfect!!

Went here for lunch. The food was really nice and the staff were really friendly. Ordered curly fries but was given normal fries but the staff fixed that immediately without any haste whatsoever. The prices were very reasonable and the portion sizes were plenty. Nothing to complain about, it was just very good

First visit and wont be the last, I was looking for somewhere to get something to eat and I wasnt disappointed the place was spotless with lovely staff and the food was freshly cooked such a shame I couldnt eat it all due to being put of in wetherspoons a few doors down! I'll definitely go back though and I'm not sure why this place isnt busier than wetherspoons which is dire for food and cleanliness yates is a stark contrast and much more nice a place to go!! Please try it you wont be disappointed
