An absolutely brilliant village shop, run by the warmest, friendliest folk you'd ever want to meet. It's truly a pleasure to pop in, have a chat, grab a few treats, as well as fresh bread and other local produce. Sam and Adrian always give everyone the warmest of welcomes and you'll always walk out smiling. :)

Excellent selection of groceries, wines, spirits, beers and lots more. Sam n Adrian the proprieters go out of their way to help and very friendly. Their holiday let the 'Old Bakehouse' is gorgeous and lovely to stay and unwind and to enjoy

Unfortunately the tearoom at Ye Olde Steppes is no longer open but the owners have instead made the shop larger by using the space that was once the tea room. The shop has a fantastic selection of quality products including a range of locally produced items that includes beers and ciders. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. If you are passing through Pembridge be sure to pay a visit as you won't be disappointed. I have left my original review on the tearoom below:Fabulous! This has to be the best tea room / coffee shop we have ever been to. Beautiful building, friendly staff and extensive locally sourced lunch menu with a choice of amazing home made cakes. Recommended.

We visited Ye Olde Steppes Shop by sheer chance and we are so glad we decided to pop inside. We so admired the owners who have made the best of a bad situation whilst Covid reigns and have turned their delightful little tea shop into the village convenience store..It was a sheer treat wandering around their interesting little shop... it’s an experience you just cannot rush.Their delicacies, cheeses, wines, cakes, artisan breads, organic fruit and veg, are of extraordinary quality..We purchased 2 of their English organic ciders, which we were absolutely blown away by, we have never tasted such delicious cider, we have yet to try the English sparkling wine we brought...You would be missing a real treat, if you were to drive through this village without giving this shop a visit!!Highly recommended..Mr & Mrs Bevan.. Lovely Warm Welcome! :)Having once lived in Herefordshire, we visited Ye Olde Steppes during a trip down memory lane. Upon arrival, the lovely staff re-arranged the seating to accommodate six of us along with our four dogs. We were instantly made to feel at home and nothing was too much trouble. The food.... absolutely delicious and beautifully-presented home cooking... and the coffee.... wow! All of their customers were treated like friends and there were happy smiles all around the very ornate room. They cater for special diets including gluten-free. We enjoyed our visit so much that we can't wait to have a return trip. A big thank-you to the friendly staff at Ye Olde Steppes for such a friendly welcome! Hope to see you again soon. :) The Meadows family xxxxxx

We went here last time we were over seeing my folks! Sam the owner is the most warm and welcoming host I have ever met! The food is excellent with plenty of choice! I had a salmon and cream cheese baguette last time we went and it was lovely but I was spoilt for choice inc great specials on the board! We will be back for sure!!

Sam and team always go out of their way to make us feel very welcome. Great food, lovely cakes and dog friendly. Always a good idea to book a table as it is deservedly very popular.

I decided on a quick pitstop on the long drive home, but found I just didn't want to leave this special little place. Small, quaint, cosy, with a friendly local smile and service. The food was amazing. They also held a little grocery and bottle shop. I just wish I were 2hrs closer so I could visit again.

Home made food, all scrumptious. The owner is so lovely, even if she is really busy she will make your visit special. We arrived on a very busy Saturday, sat outside and within minutes we were given blankets and hot water bottles. Dog's were given water and a few treats. She will remember you if you have been before. If you like cream teas then these are possibly the best you will ever have.
