A really lovely pub with a good selection of cask ales and a great atmosphere.Sadly the first pint was a bit past it but they replaced it with something better.

·

Compact- chose to sit outside - but perfect beer and great history.

·

A lovely little Pub, we felt most welcome there.

·

Lovely selection of beers and ciders and open fire, was dying for food but kitchen not open, despite what website said. Not exactly a warm welcome from behind the bar or in front, and felt uncomfortable as conversation between the locals already supping stopped and I was looked at longingly in silence - so drank up my pint and moved on.

What a smashing little pub this is, you don't get many like this anymore! From the outside you can very easily walk past it and not even notice it's there, it just blends in with the houses around it.It has a bar to the left hand side and another room on the right. Both rooms are small so don't turn up with a party of 30 people! Both rooms also have lovely open fires blazing in the winter. They've a good range of real ale for such a little pub and a great selection of whiskies too. Maureen who runs the pub is a really lovely lady, down to earth, and greets you with a smile and friendly chat, just the way I like it.I almost feel like I don't want to leave this review for fear of giving away one of Kington's best kept secrets, but it deserves every one of it's stars. It's a cracking little place.

Fabulous pub. Really relaxing sitting outside enjoying the beer.

·

Very welcoming to a hot sweaty hiker on one of the hottest days of the year. Great ale too! A real old-fashioned pub exactly as they should be and a gem to find in Kington

·

Such a charismatic old pub. A real gem

·

Fantastic atmosphere... The room recreates a Victorian front room and just sitting there, listening to the locals sharing the latest news is pure bliss. A pub with a real community, smiles all around - loved every second of it.

Gorgeous somewhat eccentric pub with delicious unusual beer ( guesting). We were kindly given some roast potatoes to eat with our beer as Sunday lunch had finished! Friendly locals who made us very welcome + we sat + chatted about decent beer. Highly recommended.
