Bengal Tandoori in Lichfield

Went in at 6 with a party of 9 with 5 children, made to feel really welcome and the food was out of this world! Great service as well.

Used to think the bengal was the best in Lichfield. The past couple of orders we've had have been lacking the usual quality.My keema naan was burnt and the usually amazing modhu minty lamb aloo was not flavoursome at all. no minty or sweet flavour that it used to have.Hoping that next time we order is like it used to be

AMAZING FOOD, BEST CURRY IN LICHFIELD. We had the lamb bhuna and dupiaaza, and it was so tender it fell apart. The sauces were perfectly seasoned, and the garlic and cheese naan was soft and buttery. The only tiny thing that I’d say could improve would be the rice was a tad hard, but it did not hinder the takeaway at all. Next we will be eating in!

AMAZING FOOD!!!! Wow each time we have visited the Bengal this year the food has been truly amazing, alongwith the takeaways we've had. It is fresh, tasty, served hot and consistently good. The garlic & cheese nan is delicious. The service is spot on.....attentive and not overbearing. The restaurant is well laid out and very clean. I cannot recommend this place enough. It is far better than other Indian restaurants in Lichfield. Go on give it a try, you won't regret it. THANK YOU Bengal.

Food always so tasty, always accommodating, nothing is ever too much trouble. And really friendly staff!!Thank you guys for such good food everytime we order!! 😃😄

Ordered from here tonight. Food arrived on time and was piping hot. I had Bengal 42 speciality, there was stacks of meat and the plastic tub was rammed! Cheese and garlic naan soft Fresh and really tasty’ chips were ok I like mine really well done

Hi went to a friend's 3 days ago and we had a delivery from the bengal was lovely, so the following days I had another delivery, had the same what I had at my friend's, O M G what a difference had a chicken korma only 3 small pieces of chicken, chips were absolutely terrible, the nan bread was so thick with dough no taste what so ever and it should of been tikka nan without the meat ,very disappointed

Very disappointed, good meals before but last two takeaways poor, ordered chicken tikka dansak, rubber chicken thankfully tiny portion. 2nd curry they also found chicken hard and not many pieces. So sadly will not be ordering again from here.

We popped in Friday night dinner after walking about looking for somewhere quiet to eat. Most of the popular place seemed busy so we were glad to find this place. It was quiet but not dead when we arrived. The staff were friendly and polite when they greeted us and showed us to our table. The food was decent, not too spicy and full of flavour. My only criticism is that there were no Indian sweets on the pudding menu, although we were told we could request them next time if we pre-ordered.

Myself and my family have been here tonight, I have recently started on a gluten free diet so have been apprehensive about having a curry. I was reassured about what I could and couldn't eat on the menu and when my food arrived again was told how they prepared my food separately and re washed the dishes my food was served on. The staff were very friendly, professional and attentive throughout to all of their customers and the food was amazing! I will definitely be going back. :-)
