China Chef in Lichfield

Despite a small discrepancy with the phone order (my fault entirely) we still received, the quoted time of delivery, huge portion sizes, extra food, and not only was the service and delivery fantastic the food also tasted incredible, I think this will be our regular Chinese now, Sorry Ruby!

Ordered for the first time this evening due to our usual takeaway being closed for a holiday.Chips were okay but, everything else from the chicken curry, egg fried rice and even prawn crackers were literally inedible. I’ve never tasted anything so vile in all of my life. Even my husband and 2 children threw it in the bin.It was if everything was sprinkled with sugar and doused in so much soy sauce it was unbelievable.

Lovely Chinese, tried for the first time, were normally loyal to golden cheft but there so overpriced compared to China chef. Got through the phones quick and was able to collect our meal within 25 minutes on a Saturday! Tasty and so reasonable priced, will definitely become our regular!

The food was absolutely wonderful. Delivery wasnt long and it was piping hot. Delivery driver very courteous. Prices very reasonable for such great food. Well recommended. Definitely a twice weekly for us

Mostly excellent food, as always, from China Chef tonight.The spare ribs weren't so good, lots of gristle and fat but the meat that was there was good

We tried to order our food twice and the phones were not answered. We tried calling twice; the first time we rang they didn’t answer so we waited a few minutes. The second time we phoned no one answered. I would give this place 1/2 a star if I could because even though they didn’t answer their phone and it says they are open online, I have eaten here before and the food was great which makes up for the bad customer service (also known as no customer service because they didn’t answer the phone)

Ordered food around 5:30pm received food an hour later order was wrong charged 3.90 for prawn toast that was not ordered instead of my 2 cans of coke lines was busy then for a following 2 hours contacted coke was not on order the man assured me a refund delivery man turned up with 2 cans of pop told him I didn't want them and wanted my money back he then gave me 1.90 I told him it was 3.90 I was ment to receive, and he wasn't aware as he just delivers ... so I ended up with 2 cans of pop and 1.90, delivery driver friendly not his fault. Food overall was not the best will nor order again.

We are regulars at China chef. I really love the sweet n sour pork Cantonese style it's my absolute favourite and the egg fried rice is amazing too. My partner loves the beef and spring onions. Lovely staff either over the phone when having a delivery or in person cannot fault this place x

Always had great food from here and only once had a problem with a missing item. They delivered it after a quick phone call. Highly recommended.Edit. Newly a year later and the food has gone downhill. It's watery and tasteless. Better options in the area

Used to be great but they've really go downhill. Waited over 2 hours for food last night, the dishes have bits of leftovers from whatever the chef was previously cooking,l and the sauces/gravy are now watery and very cheap not nice at all.
