Dr Johnson Public House in Lichfield

Stopped for a pub lunch after a long walk. Very helpful staff, real ales and freshly prepared classic pub food. Five stars if had been just a bit cleaner around our table.

Fantastic for food. The range of cask ales is limited but it's worth a visit if you want a decent feed. It's not posh food just well cooked and good portions. It's what I would class as proper pub grub for not a lot of money.

Food here is great value, hot and tasty. Mixed grills and steaks arrived on a skillet and all were cooked as requested. Only reason for giving a 4 not 5 is that the only cask ale on offer was Pedigree which is not a favourite...but it was in decent condition.

Went in with Daughter and she had Veggie and I had steak and chips and a Beer.Very welcoming and kind always.I had a problem with my phone signal not their fault.Let me login their Internet though said were not experts but helpful and kind.Has lots of space and nearby Nether Stowe Hair dresser Best chippy and lovely Tesco people.What more can I say.Lovely go there.
