Gatehouse in Lichfield

First time visiting here and I very pleased as it was clean and tidy. The food was hot and very nice 😋 the customer services was very good and I do recommend this little place to drink and food. Very warm and relaxing See you all again thank you....

We visited for Sunday lunch and had a really fantastic meal! The roasts were beautiful - some of the best pub food we have had! The thing we enjoyed most was the excellent service - the manageress could not have been more accommodating and the waitress that served us was very helpful indeed. So many drinks to choose from we were spoilt for choice! We will definitely be returning for another lovely meal! Thanks again.

Very disappointed with todays experience. My favourite place in Lichfield but I don’t think I will be coming back again. Ordered cauliflower cheese to share. Cold. Tasted like it’s been warmed in microwave. House salad wasn’t fresh. Again felt like it’s been sitting in the fridge all day. No seasoning at all, very bland. No salt on the tables. Had to walk around to find some. No one there to complain about food as no one checks on you. Not an “award winning team” and warm welcome, unfortunately.

The food needs a makeover... waitingstaff are not at fault... feel very sorry for the staff having to deliver it. Appreciate the response on the evening, but the food was still poor quality.

A nice venue which we used for a few meetings. Service was on point and the food was served quickly and tasted great. Drinks on the pricey side but staff provided some nice tips and advice with our selections

Ordered 3 small plates using the phone app. 2 dishes were fine but on our prawn dish some of the larger prawns were pretty much raw, when we spoke to the waitress she said she would ask the kitchen to see what she could do, I asked if we could have some bread or something instead of the prawns, not wishing to cause a fuss but when she came back from the kitchen she said the chef said they were cooked fine.I think it's bad that the chef put it on the young waitresses shoulders to have to come back to us with that as it must have been pretty embarrassing for her.It's a shame because it was our first time out in quite a long time. Wont be going back & would not recommend.

Food is amazing and the first time I have seen bratwurst served in the UK outside of the German market. Yummy. Didn't have drink as I was driving, but the hot drinks are great. Popped in on the off chance. Great pub wonderful friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Will be going back in the near future.

Having visited today for the first time I can guarantee that we will not be returning. The meals were not value for money, mine being very cold which the salad should have been warm. The salmon was cooked beautifully, which is the only thing that I can say about our meals.

Great pub, good selection of beers, food was delicious with really friendly and polite staff.

The picture of the brewer's croque monsieur vs the one I received. This cost me £6.25 plus extra for chips. The "warm craft beer cheese sauce" was nowhere to be found and the only thing inside was 2 circles of ham. I get that restaurant food is marked up but given that I know Brewhouse is supplied by Brakes this can't have cost more than 15p to make. Extremely disappointing.
