Holly Bush in Lichfield

Hubby and I had a lovely roast dinner and pudding today. Chloe our server was lovely, she served us quickly, was very polite and asked if everything was ok. An enjoyable meal- would recommend

Waited over an hour for food for an anniversary meal, there were only 4 of us.Asked a young male server if he could check where it was and he never came back.Then asked another member of staff and she said that the order didn’t go through properly but it was now being ‘prioritised’ still didn’t tell us how long it was going to be.Was walked past and ignored repeatedly when other people where getting their meals, would have thought someone would have noticed considering we had no food, empty drinks and were sitting right in the passageway where they could see us clearly.Similar occurrence the previous time we went when we waited an hour for food again. Thought we would give it another go but never again, really unimpressedDon’t order the raspberry hard soda also, tastes like prawns?

Always a lovely meal, nice attentive staff but not pushy... don't expect to be in and out, plenty of time between courses so you are not rushed. They also take Tesco clubcard vouchers which is an added bonus!

Really gone downhill!Visited yesterday for lunch.- Restaurant ..... very cold - Fire door had to be "left open".- Had run out of some ingredients and some items on menu had to be 'modified'- Had run out of Guinness- No sign of any Management- Not enough staff.However, the few staff that were on duty were working their socks off - and all credit to them. Shame they didn't have any support!!

Popped in following a trip to Lichfield, so pleased it was dog friendly and although busy on a Tuesday lunch time it wasnt packed. We then realised it was where we had booked Sunday lunch the following weekend. Impressed with the selection of drinks and very warm welcome! Looking forward to Sunday even more!

Nice out in the sticks pub, real ale on draught. Camera discount of 20p per pint. Enjoyed my visit.

Great food. Fab service. They were able to fit us in after Christmas for a largish table and there was also a birthday celebration already there. You could tell the staff were maxed out but they didn't show it and were on their A game.

The pub is really off the beaten track in little Hay. A lovely country pub with a good feel to it. The food, choice, quality and service were average at best. Thankfully the prices were also on a par with what you would expect to pay.

We booked a table for 18:30 and was looking forward to a Sunday roast. Unfortunately by the time we ordered they had run out. Clearly they are busy on a Sunday so go early to avoid disappointment. We stayed anyway and ordered off the menu. Our four year old had a child's menu (obviously) and I was amazed at the options. He ordered a steak! Which the waitress asked how he would like it cooked. When it arrived it was perfect. I had the special venison pie which was beautifully rich with thick gravy.The staff were very attentive keeping the drinks coming, and seeing if everyone was OK.In summary, the food was great, the staff were friendly and although we were initially disappointed, that couldn't be helped, we will go at lunchtime for our next visit.
