Oh my, what a find. This place is completely unpretentious, has locals in for a beer and a natter, yet serves the most delicious Italian food. Steak and pepper sauce with heaps of veg, beautifully cooked, £21. Chicken with parma ham, tom and basil sauce and mozzarella, fantastic, £14. Speedy service with a lovely smile. Highly recommended.

An amazing place to eat the food was amazing the staff couldn’t do enough for you. We stayed on a Canal boat moored up for a few nights. We definitely be visiting again.

Popped at lunchtime on a Thursday. Staff are very friendly, good range of beers on offer and the food was amazing! Reviews elsewhere led us to believe this place is dog friendly. It isn't but that's not a problem on a sunny day as the there is brilliant outside dining by the canal. We'll recommended.

What a lovely little pub, the landlady was fantastic. We were on our last night of our holiday Inn the motorhome and were hoping to eat as their new Italian menu looked fabulous due to the layout dogs weren't allowed in. We had a couple of drinks out on the sun terrace by the canal. The be and coffee was the most reasonable priced w had brought all week, we thought she'd out it through the till wrong Then worked out what to cook in our van with our limited supplies, we were short of vinegar and asked the landlady if she had any we could buy. They had got rid of all the sachets so went into three kitchen and found us a small amount in a bottle, she gave it to us. So kind. We let us stay the night in the car park and we slept soundly although there's a busy road. A lovely end to our spring holiday.I would highly recommend this little gem of a pub and restaurant, would be lovely on a sunny day out on the sun terrace watching the ducks and narrowboats go by with a cold pint in your hand

Lovely Italian food at a very reasonable price. Super friendly staff. Restaurant and bar are spacious for dining and drinking.

·

Lovely small village pub with a beer garden overlooking the canal with narrowboats and ducks travelling by . A well thought out menu of Italian inspired dishes with a very chatty helpful landlady, we will be back

Food was lovely, owner was welcoming, staff were very helpful and friendly

Surprisingly it's an Italian restaurant, not Mrs Miggins' Puddings and Pies as the name might suggest. However, what a find! We'd been walking along the towpath and thought we'd just pop in for a coffee and stayed for lunch. They have the usual mains menu but we opted for a few plates, Tapas style. Great coffee, fab food and friendly staff. I'd have given it 5 stars based on those experiences but although clean, the building is a little tired. Go! Enjoy!!!

We visited the plumb pudding for the first time last month and it certainly won’t be last, friendly professional staff, lovely atmosphere and amazing food, situated right by the canal , highly recommended.
