Sea Queen Fish Bar in Lichfield

I love a chip shop supper, but I visited this place recently and it's mega over priced for very average food. A salad pitta was £5, jumbo sausage £2.60 and cone of chips £2.60. A mixed meat and chips was almost £10. You can visit more local chip shops in the same area and get better quality food for a more affordable price.

Well, used this chip shop regular for years. Always been brilliant. Tonight however, very disappointed. Admittedly it was close to closing time, but, I've been at work since 4am yesterday and finished late tonight. I asked what was left and got a limited option. I understood that. Got pie and chips. When I got home it was all freezing cold. Put it in microwave but only the Pie was edible. My gripe is, that because I finish late ,that I should pay the same price for cold food as someone who got hot before 6 pm. £7 down the drain. Not happy. Marc

Great fish and tasty battered chips too. Good value. The chips even impressed a French visitor!

Come tonight for the first time.. always drove past and thought the other opposite looked better but couldn't be more wrong.. always get disappointed there but just didn't know where to try. Where as Sea queen from my experience is the best gyros I've had.. and partners kebab and chips was high quality fresh and tasty.. noticed nice menu to choose from. & definitely won't be going anywhere else now.. I never finish my food because half the time don't enjoy take away round here but this was the best.. thank you for some decent food and great service.. I'm hooked.

Ordered food via app. Given collection time if 20 minutes after order placed.Arrived 5 minutes after collection time thinking it will be ready to go. Ha how wrong was I.Stood at the collection point while a member of staff was cleaning which was nice to see, but got ignored. A young lady was serving a gentleman and was busy, the lady cleaning then was told to take a phone order by a rather rude man who then said I was 15 minutes early for my order which should have been ready 10 minutes earlier.Still I was ignored.After another 5 minutes a lovely lady finally asked if I'd been asked what my order was, I told her no and she went to find my order.So after 20 minutes of waiting for an order that should have been ready 25 before I got my order and came home to find they had missed an item off.This is the 3rd time an order has been wrong with missing items (only little items that I must admit I couldn't be bothered to go back for and waste a meal due to messing about).I shall not be going back.

I thought this was the sea queen I ordered from online as my order had been cancelled. Apparently not after calling some rude old lady answered the phone with a bad attitude and hung up on me. I don’t care how “busy” you were that’s disgusting behaviour. I will come in soon so you can tell me what the issue is because judging by your stinking attitude clearly you have many. I was always taught to treat elderly people with respect but I was also taught to treat others how they treat you. And judging by other reviews clearly this place is full of rude people apart from the gentleman who explained it wasn’t that chip shop I had ordered from the rest of them are mouthy and have the worst attitudes.Edit: after reading more reviews you’ll see that then place is full of rude incompetent people and the food doesn’t sound great at all either.

Ridiculous service, totally ignored by staff and then spoken to like I was trash infront of my family. Items missing off the order, portion sizes have reduced dramatically in the past few weeks while the prices have had a drastic increase. Save yourself money and stress and go somewhere else.

Waited all day because i fancied a traditional PORK Gyros as a valentines day treat only zorba the greek needs to turn his hearing aid up because last time i checked pork doesnt sound like chicken!! cheers mate the lot went in the bin shortly after having to scrape the grease off my top palate from the chips. absolutely pi**ed off and will never use this chippy again. Just look at the recent reviews the place has gone to the dogs. Wish the former owners still owned it!!

This place is truly the best chippy I've had, I travel pretty far to visit this place, their chips are fantastic, their pork is incredible and the prices are more than fair for how good it is.

Open doesn’t mean they are ready for business !!!Have you waiting for 20 mins because“ we just opened “Got ya, so the paying customers should stand waiting, while staff prepare the work area for shift.I went home and put the food in the bin as the people who prepared it made me feel psychically sick !!!Absolutely vile people
