The Acorn Inn Pub in Lichfield

Good honest basic food and drink so no complaints. There does seem to be a problem with supplies to this branch. We have yet to visit (since lockdown) and can have what we would prefer, they are always short of some ingredients. Staff say they put the orders in but never know what they are receiving.

Tables were left uncleared and unclean but staff looked thin on the ground and busy. Pleasant enough reception and fairly quick service. Food was nice but poorly presented on the plate. Toilets were messy. Could do with more staff.

First time ever that I've ordered from the menu to be told they had run out ofmy first choice. No fish available and was told by staff member that it was always happening as it was their most popular dish. Surely the Manager knows this isn't then his perogative to order more ? The rest of our time there went well other food we had was fine and drink was really good value for money. Would go there again.

We went in for breakfast, l was a bit weary as never had a good one there l know it gets really busy but the kitchen shouldn't send rubbish out , well very happy every thing was cooked lovely, really nice staff on as well, so l asked the waitress to tell the kitchen it was cooked perfect. Also it was nice that the tables were being cleared quickly

Went on a Tues afternoon for steak club. Not had this in well over a year as I normally work Monday - Friday, it wasn't overly busy. No halloumi starter available. I had to send my steak back as I ordered medium rare & it came well done.We were also sat next to a couple of elderly ladies who weren't happy with their half roast chicken meals.No cookie dough sandwich available for dessert, again!!This wetherspoons has gone downhill recently in regards to food.As previous regulars in an early evening they more often than not have no fish available, & twice in as many months don't have burgers!Not great 🙄

Clean and tidy nice food friendly staff fast service. Could do with more beans on the jacket potato. Love the app to order food and drink.

It is a very popular place, we went in for a drink and then decided to get something to eat.Took us a while to get a table.But when we did, after we ordered the food arrived in good time and we all enjoyed our meals.The staff were well mannered and courteous.We will go again next time we are in Lichfield.

Nice pub, food is not bad and drinks are cheap! The service can improve some of the staff can’t match the offers on the menu to the till system so then they decide the offers can not be given to the customer!

Been here a number of times and this particular Saturday evening (28/08/21) was the busiest.Very busy at the bar and only one table available, so I used the app.Small pizza and a beer for £7.The usual value for money Wetherspoon's.Small beer garden at the rear and interesting photos on the walls about the local history

I appreciate guest beers ,and there always a good selection.Served by friendly staff.My wife and I have never had a bad meal and we have had a few,in different outlets.I would recommend any of the JD hostelry s.
