The Crown in Lichfield

Had a lovely meal here today. My fella had the pork Schnitzel and I had the corn fed chicken with pathia sauce, we also had the lemon tart and I had the pineapple with walnuts, can't remember the name but that was lovely too... The meals and surroundings were very nice and the staff were attentive and friendly. We liked the way the food was presented and described by the server...it was like being on MasterChef! Cocktails were nice too!

I have been a couple of times and both times the service is really excellent. Attentive but not over the top they assembled an excellent group of people front of house . The food as well is presented very beautifully and I can record the Pig Cheek as a starter and Roasted Cod was delicately flavoured to match the Austrian Red we had picked. My wife had a Schnitzel which I tasted which was the best Schnitzel I ever have tasted. Highly recommended .

My partner took me here as a birthday surprise. I can honestly say I have never tasted food like this. It was exquisite. The staff were very welcoming and attentive and they explained every course to us in detail. If you want to experience fine dining, I definitely recommend the Larder in my opinion it was without doubt the best restaurant I have ever been to. We will certainly be returning inthe future 😀

Took my fiancee to Larder for our anniversary, food was incredible, cod was perfectly cooked, as was my ribeye steak. Pigs cheek and Beignets were gorgeous and the peppercorn sauce for the steak was inspired as it was more like a gravy. My only negative comment, and it is a small one is that it lacked atmosphere although it was busy.

Great food served with added beautiful twists. Excellent flavours steak cooked to perfection. Chips tasty. Sides excellent value. Little tasters a very nice touch. Passion fruit fudge heavenly. Service very professional friendly warm and welcoming. Will definitely recommend and visit again.😋😋😋

Had a wonderful Saturday lunch for my Mother's birthday. Made to feel very welcome with very pleasant waiters. Great value food, really well cooked.

For a none expensive restaurant the food was so tasty.This place is relaxed, informal bur professional.Each course is explained well.The staff are friendly and welcoming.I highly recommend The Larder as the food which is the reason for going is excellent.If they still do the crab taco starter go for it. So refreshing. I'd have the mini poached apple spheres in it as a starter on there own - Awesome.

This was our 4th visit at Larder and as usual, it didn't disappoint. The chef's produce wonderful food and the staff are always a delight. We look forward to visiting again soon.
