The Star Hotel - Ember Inns in Lichfield

Our visit tonight was wonderful we were served by Maurice who was brilliant, due to a disabled member of our party being unable to order at the bar he served us at the table which was very considerate and very kind. We were also served by a blonde lady who I assume was a manager who helped to very kindly accommodate a request to change a menu item at no extra cost. I’d also like to comment on the cleanliness of the disabled facilities as well which were very good.

Lovely atmosphere and staff. But beware the food. Just saying

The staff were friendly and helpful. Even with product shortages caused by supplier issues they did their very best. Can not fault them at all. Plus cask ales too so it was a perfect evening for my birthday

First time here in years, not a good experience last time but thought it was time to give it another try. It was absolutely the right thing to do, service and food excellent ,pleasant surroundings, staff very nice and comfortable seating. We will be back soon.19th April 2022Said we'd be back we came on Tuesday evening, once again excellent food, drinks and service I had the sea bass and partner a mixed grill both delicious thanks

How very disappointing our first experience was. Beautiful building inside and out. The manager was very friendly. The meals were awful. Both steaks were just chunks of fat. Chips were dreadful and not even hot.my hunters chicken was very small but at least edible. Was planning on having dessert but was so disappointed we left and had dessert elsewhere.

Good food and a good price. Very impressed with the service. This was our first time there, it definitely will not be our last. Will visit more regularly from now on 😊

First visit here, not really sure why we haven't been before but we'll definitely be back. Super friendly staff, very welcoming and helpful. A good menu, the food we had was great - plenty on the plates and very tasty. Really enjoyed our visit and will look forward to our next one.

Great friendly service. Beautiful building inside and out. My meal of Bass and asparagus was lovely there just wasn't much of it. Could have done with some other veg as well? My companions meals were huge and they enjoyed them very much.

Visited with family today can’t fault a thing the staff the atmosphere all fantastic . The food was also fantastic topped off with this amazing Eton mess sundae well done to you all

Only stopped for 1 quick pint on my way through, but will return. Clean toilets and tidy car park, very welcoming. £4.30 for a pint of strongbow dark fruits, seems a bit pricey, but don't normally drink that when I go to a pub, so it could be the going rate.
