"It's great to be back! Thank you for your ongoing support over the last year. A few things to consider before you visit:. Outdoor service is limited to guests in groups of six or two households (no limit on number) is permitted. Please note we may need to vary our opening hours given the time of year and the unpredictable nature of our Great British weather! Track and trace requirements have changed meaning all customers over 16 years of age must check in and provide their contact details. Unfortunately we must refuse service if customers do not comply. To get the most up-to-date notices on our re-opening, keep an eye on our Facebook page. We look forward to seeing you soon!"

Really enjoyed our Sunday lunch at the wine house on Easter Sunday. Great ambience, appropriate, in fact really fab music and great service. The food was absolutely delicious. I am quite a tough customer to please but I abso loved how attentive ( yet not over bearing) our waitress was. She calmly made the switches we wanted to make to Sunday lunch ( we wanted a chicken Sunday lunch and it wasn’t an option on the menu) as well as a few other changes!!Our changes were made without a fuss and the food arrived promptly and was piping hot ( this is important to me!) the food was fresh and abso delicious. My third visit to the wine house and I’ll be back sooner as opposed to later.Ps delicious Pinot NoirThank you for a lovely experience 🙌🏽

Just love this place! The food and service is very good. There is real hustle and bustle about the place. Though the noise level can be high with large groups and the Bottomless menu.

Tues 1sr Feb lovely lunch for friends birthday. The new manager Kyle is so friendly, happy and his service is fabulous. Food was amazing along with the excellent service from Val the waitress,. We are returning soon for afternoon tea. Anne

The service staff were superb, the communication between kitchen and customer was non existant.Over an hour for the starter, well over 2 hrs for the main. Similar sized party ordered after us and received their meals well before us. 2X steak fillets were over cooked and returned - there were no other steaks available. Such a shame it was a special occassion as well.

Slow service but not unexpected for New Years Eve lunch.Several items on the menu were unavailable. I chose the chicken but there was only one left so very limited choice. I had the lamb curry as there was nothing else to choose from. The meat was very tough, dry and tasteless. The rice ball was frozen in the middle. It was replaced but by then the curry was cold too so basically I had no lunch. It was removed from our bill but there was no apology.A very disappointing end to 2021.

Having eaten in The Wine House on a few occasions and had a nice experience. Went to today with a group of friends I can honestly say we will not be returning, waited over an hour for our meal , when the food eventually arrived it was lukewarm, we did complain but the staff didn’t careless. The service was appalling, after we finished our main meal we had to ask if they served desserts or coffee as it had not been offered. They just didn’t want to serve us. So we paid and left, never to return.

Very very disappointed. As we were a large group (11) we expected a delay between ordering and food arriving but did not expect to wait an hour. We had booked in advance and all but 2 people ordered roasts so not a difficult order seeing as they knew we were coming. We asked about the wait after about 50 minutes and the waitress was extremely offhand. When the food did arrive it was lukewarm and the meat dried up on some of them and one order was wrong. When we told them we weren’t happy they really didn’t care. Eventually we spoke to the manager but he didn’t offer any apology. His attitude was very offhand. We weren’t even offered desserts or coffees. The service overall was appalling. Eventually after persuasion by one of the group he did reduce the bill by 10% but it really spoilt the occasion and we won’t return

Chaotic and no attention to detail. Was asked if we had ordered drinks twice before and thrice after the meal, each by a different person. No sense of organisation from the apparently inexperienced staff. Starters were okay, but main courses clearly overcooked. Large portions but not prepared to the quality paid for. Only redemption were the cocktails, which were interesting but arrived very late after ordering. Wine list is strangely uninspiring, given the name of the place. A wine house in the sense that it attracts wine aunt's and not for people actually interested in wine (or good food for that matter).

A lovely bar and restaurant with quality food and drink. The staff were really friendly and polite. The rack of lamb that I had you could cut with a butter knife such was the tenderness! The ambience was fantastic too with customers dressed to a high standard and the great music playing just at the right level so you didn't have to shout at each other when having a conversation. We are planning another visit very soon! Well done The Wine House!
