Boathouse bar and bistro in Malvern Hills

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Great menu, lots of vegan options. Food was absolutely delicious and plenty of it too. Lovely views of the river from the upstairs balcony.

Quite frankly I have never liked tapas... or at least I didn't until I came here to eat. The food is fantastic. The portions are very generous and it's served to you as soon as each dish is cooked (why this isn't more common in British restaurants I'll never know) so it's absolutely as piping hot, fresh and delicious as it possibly could be. The choice available on the menu is quite frankly stunning and well thought out. The staff are absolutely brilliant and even asked my vegan partner for feedback on their extremely popular vegan platter. I got the impression that her suggestions (bring back a couple of things that were omitted this time that she enjoyed the last time she ate there) were taken seriously. The restaurant itself is nicely furnished, with a wonderful view overlooking the river directly outside. The only downside to this is that parking outside the restaurant is extremely limited, but there is a good sized public carpark only 5 minutes away on foot with easy access to the restaurant's location. I would thoroughly recommend booking, because this restaurant can get busy. The main eating area is located up fairly steep stairs so those with wheel/pushchairs may be confined to the smaller (but equally as nice) bar area downstairs. Overall, though, I cannot recommend the Boathouse enough.

Lovely lunch with a friend on the balcony overlooking the river. Second time here and I was not disappointed. The food is delicious but be warned. The portions are very generous and too good to leave. We were so full, so arrive hungry! Lovely waiting staff. Helpful and friendly but not intrusive.10/10
