This hotel is absolutely stunning and they have the best staff around. Olivia and Dan were superb as were all staff. Spa is cool, relaxed and spotless. Kids can swim first and last thing and you can order a cocktail should you want one. Restaurant is great, but the only complaint being that if you don’t like fish or meat you will have a problem. Strange to have no chicken on the menu. Come on chef. Catch up!

Rooms were absolutely great being classy and a little quirky in a beautiful building and wonderful grounds. The surroundings were great as well with a number of country walks. The spa was something a bit special with a great pool, outdoor jacuzzi, steam rooms and sauna with a garden view and a hilarious experience shower immersing you in a monsoon! The best part of the stay are the lovely staff who all went above and beyond made the stay so memorable and enjoyable.

We stayed here as the final stop on my sisters hen party to have a nice relaxing unwind to the weekend. I could not recommend this place enough and we are already talking about going back! When we arrived we were showed to the rooms which were beautifully decorated. There didn't appear to be tea facilities in the room but members of staff bought these up for us from the bar. The food was second to none and we had a fantastic meal in the Badger bar and grill, and the following morning the breakfast was superb, the tastiest and most vibrantly coloured scrambled eggs I have ever had! Andy was great at breakfast as we had some treatments booked in the spa so were on a bit of a tight schedule but he got it all sorted for us with no trouble. The spa facilities were also fantastic and the hot stone full body massage was one of the best I've ever had! A fantastic place that I whole heartedly recommend.

To say that this was one of our best hotel stays in the UK is an understatement. If you're looking for a luxurious stay in the countryside coupled with friendly customer service and great tasting food/drinks - this is the place to be! The hotel is tastefully decorated throughout with elegant & quirky features such as sculptures and paintings which give it a great atmosphere. The spa is also quite unique featuring an impressive display of hanging plants throughout which is very aesthetically pleasing. As mentioned, all staff were incredible - kind, warm & accommodating and very hard working, especially a few of the staff. Would give it more than 5 stars if possible!

Stayed at the Elms hotel and Spa the weekend before our wedding and it did not disappoint! The Elms is simply amazing, and I would recommend it to everyone. All the staff are super friendly and helpful, the hotel is spotless, the design of the hotel is incredible (constantly finding new things throughout our stay), breakfast each morning was simply delicious and the spa is beautiful!! Was a fantastic way to kick start our wedding and will definitely be revisiting the Elms hotel again!!

Booked King Room with garden view for 2 nights, hefty price tag at £690 so expectations were high, when we opened the door to the room it lived up to expectations, on closer inspection the finish wasn't to the highest standard, curtains don't actually shut, just there for show, nowhere to put soap in the shower and a bulb gone in main light fitting.Restaurant food was incredible we had the Chateaubriand and it was perfectly cooked and one of the best meals we've had in some time, the drinks are quite pricey. The night's sleep was dire, sound from a gathering in the rooms above (and general plumbing sounds) plus the restaurant directly below. The blinds didn't make the room dark enough. The room was so hot I got up 3am to open a window.Next day we went down to breakfast at 9am to explain to reception our grievances with the noise and that we couldn't stay another night. All we asked is not to be charged for the second nights stay. Receptionist was unable to deal with the issue, so wanted to speak to her manager but said to go and enjoy the spa.We had our treatments, which were good, noted the spa lacked beds to relax on.Having enjoyed the spa we asked reception if there was any update and they offered us an afternoon tea FOC. Somewhere off the mark between some sandwiches and a £345 a night room.We politely declined the afternoon tea and had already booked elsewhere to stay. After showering and packing, we checked out and were presented with an invoice offering the evening meal FOC however it included a late checking out fee of £150, after they'd failed to address the issue all day.....We decided to leave after some pointless back and forth with reception who were still unable to resolve the issue without a manager. The customer service left so much to be desired. We called "Jane" at 15:30 and after 20minutes of arguing we've agreed on a refund, for the night we've not stayed. This could have been easily resolved in the morning when the issue was raised. All in all we won't return because of the way we were treated. How could a manager have not stepped in and dealt with it earlier? This short visit has still cost over £700.

We went for lunch today, Boxing Day, the place was beautifully decorated for the Christmas period, a good selection of premium gin, and a decent wine list without having to spend the earth. The food was delicious, a small menu, but we were happy with what was on offer. The beef in particular was exceptional, thick pink slices, even though our reservation was at 3:00 the beef was still very tender, pink, and really tasty. My partner and her mother both had pork and said it too was very good indeed. The starters and deserts were excellent too. The service was exemplary, in particular the lady who looked after us at the table, an Italian lady (regrettably we didn’t get her name) was superb! Very friendly, efficient, and professional. We are happy customers and will definitely be back.

We chose The Elms for a retreat after a foreign trip was cancelled. Decked out for Christmas it was picture perfect. The staff were attentive and the spa made it easy to leave all those stresses behind. The bar was cosy and inviting and almost too easy to settle into. The only minor blip was the restaurant food - for us it needed a step up to match the sparkle of the rest of the experience. Still 5 stars - there is no doubt that we will be back.

£140 a month for gym membership after it used to be £75 is extortionate. Lovely that it has been refurbed but honestly, it’s not worth anywhere near that much.It would be good for the Elms to re-baseline their membership costs in line with other gyms and spas in the area

Beautiful setting but expensive and understaffed and average food. Also wasn't crazy to overhear the unmasked staff talking about their kids, at home, with active COVID.Also, quite pushy about the spendy NYE dinner but unresponsive to other requests.
