Fabulous food and calming atmosphere.

Excellent food. I had pie of the day, which was beef and root veg. The meat was so tender and the pie full of meat and veg. My partner had chicken which was moist and very tasty. The service was immaculate, nothing to much trouble. And very reasonable price. Thoroughly recommend a meal here.

A fantastic choice of real ales in a real country pub ( they do other booze as well), Mrs T took me out for my birthday for lunch and it's been lush. An amazing location and the food was out of this world. Proper old school pub meals, no brake brothers rubbish here folks. Great team front of house and kudos to the kitchen crew, fantastic food.

Food was beautiful, place very friendly, couldn't fault a thing , well worth a visit, you will not be disappointed.

Very disappointing. 9 people had dinner here and not one of us enjoyed it.I had fish and vegetables, it was the smallest piece of fish I have ever had (in fact it was more like half of a fish I think they probably dropped the other half) the veg was hard and not seasoned whatsoever.The roast dinners were luke-warm. Yorkshire puddings very hard apparently. And then ordered a take away cheese cake and it was unbelievable how small this piece of cake was when they opened it up after.The staff were friendlyBut all in all terrible food. I am so surprised after I looked at the reviews before i came and it hey seemed good.

Visited at Sunday Lunchtime and had a very enjoyable time. The full menu was available, the staff we pleasant and attentive. the food nice and well served on warm plates. If I have one criticism the room was rather noisy with no soft furnishing so I found it hard to join in with the conversation,

An Excellent lunch!Today we made our first visit to the Fox and Hounds at Lulsley, I can only say we had a fabulous experience. The food was superb and compliments go to the chef it was cooked to perfection, the rib eye steak and the steak and ale pie was amazing, we were told the meat was supplied by the local butcher. Our fantastic food was served to us by a very attentive but not intrusive member of staff. So all round a dining experience that we can confidently recommend to all our friends and family. We even found time to visit the above mentioned butcher on the way home to buy steak and their amazing sausages.Huge thanks and commendations all round.Show less

This pub exceeded my expectations. Flawless food including a scrumptious roast with delightfully crispy roast potatoes and tender beef. Portions are large and the prices are very reasonable! We shall definitely be coming back! :)

Second visit....does it get any better? Beautiful food, decent wine. Thoroughly enjoyed our roast. Sat next to the fire that got a little bit too hot, maybe a bit premature but it was lovely to see. Super friendly service. Thanks Penny
