Good place to have a rest and a drink after walking the hills.

·

Due to Covid restrictions service is for outside only and via a hatch. Plenty of outside seating. Lovely place to stop for a drink before heading further up the hills.

Lovely setting but very underwhelming drinks and cakes. Coffee was almost tasteless (I’m generally pretty easy to please with coffee, but on this occasion I agreed with my coffee-aficionado husband), hot chocolate was decent but rather overpriced for the size, at £3 for a small one. Flapjack was fine but nothing special, chocolate fudge cake was on the dry side and not fudgy, and again a bit tasteless. Service was fine but not really friendly - a smile would have been nice! Overall we felt it wasn’t good value for money and wished we’d gone elsewhere (sorry).

Quirky little vegan cafe up a single steep track on the side of the hills, behind Belle Vue Terrace, Great Malvern. Great spot to grab a drink & cake before heading up to The Beacon. Ideal for dog walkers.

Today a picturesque vegan/vegetarian cafe, situated halfway up the hills. Atm it’s open Thur-Sun with lots of outdoor seatings in the garden. The cafe itself is housed in the octagonal building, which was added in the 19th century during its glory days.Back then, it was a popular retreat, where you could be treated with the ‘Cold Water Cure’, inspired by the Polish “Priessnitz Water Cure”.Briefly explained, you were drinking water, bathing, resting and walking in the hills for a minimum of 3 weeks. The retreat was well visited by the rich and famous… like Lord Tennyson, Charles Darwin, Charles Dickens, Queen Victoria and Florence Nightingale… just to mention a few. And now me, Uki Bear 🐻😉So it’s not only a cafe, it also brings a lot of history 🤓📚And not to forget ☝️ the exemplary and friendly service 🙏😊 It was a true pleasure to visit - Thank You!

I am fortunate to live in Malvern and love walking the Hills. This wonderful little cafe, St Ann’s Well, is situated a 20 minute walk from Great Malvern, and nestled amongst trees on the hillside. The very steep path is well worth the effort, probably not suitable for wheelchair users or folks that do not like exerting themselves too much. Treat yourself to a coffee and a homemade cake at the Cafe. Yummy xExtra images added from my more recent walk up to The Beacon via St Annes Well. The dogs loved a splash in the pond!

The walk up to it isn't for the faint hearted..very steep and winding. No car access. Limited food and drink available due to covid, but what we had was nice. Outside seating fantastic views. Men and ladies toilets were locked so one disabled toilet for a so not ideal.

Beautiful and quiet location. Good coffee and light bites. Great place to stop by if you’re walking on the hills, or in Great Malvern town. Only a 10-15 min walk from the centre of town. You’ll have a good appetite by the time you get there! Also, they do take card.

I did write a review, and it's disappeared. But St.Ann's Well cafe is still there.Have visited many times over the years ( when it's been open ). And it's well worth the climb. ( though it takes me longer nowadays ).Always a pleasant welcome.Good tea and coffee and soup if you want. ( other meals available ).If it's winter , and cold, warm up inside , but if it's fine take in the view outside. We were fortunate and had our tea and toasted tea cakes with the sun on our faces.Recommend.
