Hungry Horse in Newcastle-under-Lyme

Popped in for a meal yesterday but had most of the tables reserved but the staff where very accommodating and and sat myself and my girlfriend in a booth, the food was amazing and very well priced, we will return and i would recomend to any couple or family who are looking for a good meal with a lovely environment!

They have a Gluten Free menu it’s the usual chill cook stuff, however I had the curry and can recommend it. It was tasty and a reasonable price, I will definitely be back for more of that thanks. Also nice to be able to sit outside to eat. Nice big car park so easy to park if you have a van. Didn’t take a photo, I will next time. Thank you for providing a Gluten Free option.

We visited before we headed off to the cinema. The waitress was friendly and we had fantastic service. We unfortunately had to leave quickly as we had forgotten some medication which was needed after food. But very friendly. Toilets are a bit of a pain upstairs and not the cleanest. I'm not sure if there is any for disabled downstairs I didn't ask. Carpark was spacious. Food was lovely 👍

Big Plate Tuesday deal is good value - large amount of tasty food for £6.50. Drinks prices are average. Pub is big, airy, and clean. Upstairs where the loos are is looking a bit tired and could do with a coat of paint. Desserts are expensive but check on the website and take advantage of the Deals of the Day to bring the overall cost down.

Food is pretty Decent and you can get good bargains if you look around however the place is filthy most times we come in. SOME of the staff try their best while others seem just around to chat and hang about. Mostly the occasional noisy group that don't car how loud or annoying they are or the people coming in from smoking outside that bring in their smoke can ruin an otherwise ok place to eat.

Lovely environment. Friendly staff. Absolutely fantastic food. We went for a post funeral buffet, the variety of food was incredible. Special dietary needs were catered for. Take out boxes and bags were provided to take the excess food home. Very impressed, would definitely recommend a visit.

Came for a friend's birthday and had a brilliant time. Staff on duty - Patrick, Ange and Callum - couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, from the minute we walked in they helped us to hide a cherry tree and put a cake in the chiller for us. They took photos and made the night just that little bit more special. Great value for money and a great place for a birthday meal.

Visited last sunday evening. Very good selection of meals and good value. I had the salmon sizzler and it was cooked perfectly. Will definitely be back. Staff were friendly and very attentive despite it being a busy time.

I visited the cherry tree on 18 th December with a few friends.looking at the drinks menu I saw there was Lanson champagne.I asked for a glass of this and the barman asked what is it ???.I said it’s champagne and on your drinks menu he said oh we don’t have it.I’m then ordered Mac and cheese and a side order of chips.the Mac and cheese arrived in less than 10 mins which you will probably think good service but I thought waiting and microwaved.it also had a bit of limp green leaves and not very nice garlic bread the chips never arrived.I’m just going to point out we had our wedding reception at the same place 47/years ago and a much nicer meal !

Really enjoyed our visit to The Cherry Tree. Nice relaxed atmosphere and wasn't to busy. Got the choice of tables. Lots to choose from on the menu and all very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back soon.
