Oriental Pearl in Newcastle-under-Lyme

Ordered food recently, I waited by the door all night and we even have a ring door bell so we get a notification when someone is at the door, takeaway closes at 10:50 and it was 11:20, when then get a call from the takeaway saying that the driver had tried to knock on and the food had been taken back (lies) was met with a rude and patronising girl on the phone who put the phone down on me twice. Foods normally sh*te and gives everyone the runs anyway so maybe it was a sign. Gone proper downhill recently.

Would love to give 5 star as always ordered from here and amazing but the past 5 orders have been absolutely terrible.... oily food, not tasting the same, rendang curry flavourless, topped with oil and slimey. Spring rolls soggy so are the chips moved elsewhere u need to get back to the great food you used to have

Food was cold and I had severe sickness and doahorriah just a few hours after eating, I was sick for 24 hours straight, I was so ill I thought I was going to have to be hospitalised, this is not an experience I would wish on my worst enemy.

Very poor quality food. My duck and cashew nuts had slimy duck skin left on the meat.The meal had no flavour at all . The food when it arrived was just about warm . My husband had the ti green curry it was terrible the chicken was unrecognisable not sure what it was. This is the first time we have ordered from here and it will definitely be the last. What a waste of our hard earned money. My advice is AVOID

A wise man once said that we can't make anyone feel or do anything. We can throw things into the wind and it is up to each individual to decide how they want to react and where they want to stand when things fall. I can't make you order from this Chinese, nor can I make you try one of their delicious pancake rolls but when the opportunity falls for you to get a takeaway, step back, think and listen to your heart for only you are the true holder of your 5 star culinary experience destiny. Ribs fall reet off tut bone in all.

Food ordered at 5:15pm, hadn't been delivered by 6:20pm. I was told that they were waiting for a driver, still hadn't been delivered by 6:35pm, I was told that it was out for delivery. Delivered at 6:55pm STONE COLD!!! Can't get a refund as I had already thrown my order in the bin. SHOCKING SERVICE, DISGUSTING FOOD!!! DO NOT USE THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!

Always ordered from here after great reviews, never really had a problem, past few times the food has been cold so wasn't really enjoyable, we order every Friday night and we ordered tonight at 6.46pm it didn't arrive until 9.10pm and yet again it was cold, chips were like cardboard, chicken balls were soggy and chewy chicken, even the prawn crackers weren't tasty. So disappointed as I love Chinese and I'm very fussy where I order one from, thought we had found our favourite place but I will not be ordering again.

Just had a delivery. The food was cold and no taste. After a few mouth fulls straight in the bin. First time and last time I will use this shop. Absolute rubbish food. You need to take experience from Joyous Feast in Liverpool Tosd.

Thought we would try the oriental pearl out as our usual Chinese is closed on a Monday and family and friends have recommended it. This is by far the worst Chinese takeaway we have had! The salt and chilli chips were like eating cardboard they were so dry we struggled to eat them and ended up putting them in the bin, the same with the crispy duck. The chicken and cashew nut had no taste whatsoever. The only food that was slightly enjoyable was the salt and chilli chicken wings coating. It was easy to order online and fairly quick delivery however we won't be using again .

I use the oriental pearl for my take out all the time.. I've never been disappointed... And the aromatic shredded duck is absolutely. Gorgeous it comes with cucumber strips and sauce and chips it's. Lovely
