A really honest pub/Hotel. Good value for money if you are on a budget. Good breakfast, the restaurant menu is OK. The owners are really friendly and go out of their way to provide you with extras if needed.No sky sports and the room was cold, I mean really cold.In summary it's clean, cheap and somewhere to get your head down after a hard day's graft or as a stop over. The owner/manager went down the road to ask about the football being televised in the Old Swan. It was thankfully. Salt of the earth people.

Great place, reasonable prices, quiet location and large comfortable rooms

Good pub to come and have a meal and the staff are always nice and they come and say hello to you. They are very friendly. Meals are fantastic.

We came here in the snow about six or seven years ago, and came in today on a whim to see how it is now.I can confirm that the food is absolutely excellent. I had a chicken roast, with vegetables very well (as in, expertly) cooked, and mash to die for; not a conventional carvery but more of a dish.My other half had a cod dish with chive sauce and mash; this was also fantastic.I'm pleased to report that this is definitely one of the best pubs in the area to eat in and we'll definitely be back. The price was extremely good. I wouldn't have batted an eyelid if the price was a third more, to be honest!There's plenty of car parking. Comments below about decor are a matter of taste; it's no concern for us.We'll look forward to being back!

Have spent our stay here in a relaxed family atmosphere. Lovely food , totally good grub, top drawer tapas. Best Tapas I've ever had. The staff could not do more for out family. So helpful & hospitable. Would I come here again? you bet I would! Comfy room, pretty large & lovely bed.

Fabulously hospitable family run establishment. Lovely spotless rooms. Staff are so accommodating - nothing is too much trouble. Great menu with authentic tapas. Good for vegetarians, however vegan options limited.
