Visited this pub last week and what can I say, great food, welcoming atmosphere. Bring in the summer with the beer garden, hopefully more tables out there. Well done Sarah

Great meal absolutely loved it. I had the hunters chicken meal extra garlic bread and extra onion rings and ate the lot 😋 definitely recommend delicious food

Do not go for a civilised tea on a Thursday early evening. Your meal and peace will be completely ruined by the ridiculously loud quiz and accompanying music that plays full blast from 6pm onwards. Bring ear defenders and be prepared to shout at anyone sitting on your table.

We visited on mother's day 27th March. We ordered 3 roast dinners and a hunters chicken. We paid extra to double up on our meat which was inedible. The beef was tough and full of gristle. The rest of the dinner wasn't brilliantleaving us very disappointed in our visit. When we tried to complain to the waitress we were told there been lots of other complaints that day aswell. We paid a total of £60 with drinks. Would not recommend and definitely will not return. A mother's day spoilt.

Friendly staff, decent food. It's a chain so you know exactly what you're going to get. Beer is a bit pricy for what it is though.

Xmas celebration with family and friends, food arrived as ordered steak and chips with sides, cheesecake to follow. All the food was well presented and tasted really good. The waitress Jessica was very helpful and made the experience even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend the Gatehouse and will return very soon.

Came here with family this evening for an early Christmas get together. I have to say that I was very pleasantly surprised! We ate from the Christmas menu which was great value for money but was also lovely and well presented. I was also really pleased at the choice if veggie/vegan options too which meant that all of our party were able to enjoy a lovely meal together. The staff were lovely too and the service was excellent. Will definitely visit again soon. Thank you for a lovely evening!

Very hospitable welcome with a water bowl provided for the pooch on arrival.Following a slight ordering error everything was instantly remedied by the obliging staff.Can't wait to go again to enjoy the excellent quality, value, sevice and pleasant surroundings.

Had a lovely family meal yesterday. Have to say the pub looked amazing and very welcoming. Food was fantastic and very good service. Will definitely be returning.

Came here for a meal and had a couple of games of pool. Lovely atmosphere, food is fantastic and the staff are friendly and inviting. First time here and will definitely be returning 😊
