Lovely atmosphere and absolutely stunning view had a beautiful guest ale here with my fella (clerics cure) quick and effective service 💕 🏻

Lovely Sunday dinner, very friendly staff, good sized delicious platefuls. Would definitely go again if not be so far from home. (We were caravanning.)

The food was very nice however the service was poor. We had the starter and main course within 30 minutes of arrival. We were not offered any sauces with the main meals and no one came to our table to check everything was OK. After finishing the main the plates sat at the table for around 15 minutes. When the plates were moved we were not offered a dessert menu. After around another 15 minutes we were asked if we would like the dessert menu, it was left on the table. After another 20 mins we gave up and left. During the time we were there we were not offered any more drinks, it was difficult trying to get the attention of the staff to request anything. There were plenty of staff around but most were ignoring the tables in the restaurant. The atmosphere was not welcoming and we felt like we were an inconvenience.We won't be going back.

A most enjoyable meal, my wife asked for the steak and kidney pie which had just gone. So opted for the Mediterranean tart that she wanted to try. She wasn't disappointed, I had the "T"bone steak with a mushroom and stilton sauce delicious it was too. It's been a while dining out, but it felt like old times.

Enjoyed the food and drinks. Speedy service but it was much busier later on. In warmer weather you would have fantastic views in Summer. Would I go back? Yes I would. Car park on site. Everyone happy with meals. Polite waiting on staff.

Came here for lunch. Astounding views from the beer garden. Pub lunch food had plenty of options and was well cooked. You can choose from a variety of pizzas too. Loved the selection of craft beers on tap. We'll definitely be returning.

Decent pub. Decent looking grub but I'm yet to taste any, the only thing I was tasting up here was the beer because I'm such a bloody bloke. The picture is of the view out from the beer garden on the back.

Well, I feel as though I've wasted part of my life by not coming here sooner, it's not often you find somewhere like this where you instantly feel at home, relaxed and happy. Friendly staff are a big part of this, but the views from my chosen table, and the quirky decor just closed the deal! Then, the food came, wow! A fillet steak under twenty quid, probably the best I've ever had, some at over double the price too, I think a clean plate says enough, I was actually sad when I'd finished, not sad in a bad way just sad that the food experience I'd just had was over! And another plus, you know when you've just shovelled a fork full of food in your mouth and a friendly waiter or waitress asks you if everything is OK, which can be ever so annoying, well I'm pleased to announce that there's none of this caper here! Not that anyone would have anything to complain about to be fair. So to quickly summarise, This is a gem of a pub, simply perfect.

A wonderful happy and friendly pub with one of the best views over the Cheshire Plain and across to the hills of North Wales. The menu is well sticked and plentiful with great food. Highly recommended

First time out for a meal since last year. We had the Sunday lunch. It was lovely. Had a pudding and wasn't disappointed. Lovely pub, lovely staff. Fantastic views.
