The Rifleman in Newcastle-under-Lyme

Such a shame i had heard so many good things about the food here which i am sure some of it is, i went in on sunday 17th april and had lasagne but unfortunately i could only eat 1/4 of it due to having a thick layer of potato or cheesy potato on top ! This tasted awful so all i managed was the salad, garlic bread and a few chips. Unfortunately i won't be returning as i don't eat anything else off the menu when i eat out !

Another great meal belly full taste buds satisfied. Staff fantastic especially Kelly and Beth. Will be back soon for some more delicious belly busting food

Really nice food and the staff are amazing. When my friend fell over on the way to the pub and damaged his foot the landlord took it upon himself to drive him to hospital. That's going beyond the call of duty.

Exceptional!A wonderfully presented, spacious pub.The food served is tremendous, and cooked to perfection. Dishes are well presented and mouth watering from the first sight. A wonderfully presented menu greets you as you are seated, the menu itself caters to all tastes, the selection is spectacular.Waiting staff are well coordinated, polite, and accommodating.Truly one of the finest establishments in the area.A job very well done.

We were travelling through heading back home after visiting friends in melton Mowbray. Great food we both really enjoyed our meals. Steak fajitas and fish and chips. We visited the Rifleman based on the excellent reviews and were not disappointed. Thanks

Great food. Wife had a lovely steak an ale pie . Home made chips. I had the rifleman burger. One of the best burgers ive had in long time. Service was good by the ladies.Will be going again.

Christmas Dinner here with Mum and my fiance Elaine hosted by my old friends Andy and Alex. We lost Dad this year so it was a special poiniant occasion. Our hosts did not disappoint a amazing soup starter mulled wine for the ladies and a wonderful Traditional Christmas main and desert to follow. Thank you

Absolutely perfect!!! We had a delivery of steak and homemade lasagne and wow, the best takeout meal we've had in a long time (husband says his steak was nicer than miller and carter) thank you so much ☺

Booked ahead with the Covid restrictions in place. Got a text message as email confirmation was bouncing, which is great service.Food was nice and portion sizes were good. Hunters chicken was cooked well and the chips had a great taste to them. It was all done via table service and everyone was very efficient and on the ball. No waiting around for drinks, which can sometimes be an issue with table service.A nice afternoon in the beer garden, nice weather, with nice food and drink. What more could you ask for on a bank holiday?
