The Stables at the Old Hall in Newcastle-under-Lyme

Had my parents 60th wedding anniversary there tonight. What a beautiful room. The food was amazing hats off to the chef. the staff were so polite and helpful . Could not fault anything . Would highly recommend. A big thank you for an amazing night

Had a party of 20 last night at the Stables, Anne was so accommodating on everything we asked and the two girls waiting on Meg & Zoe were a credit to the place, so professional and polite, from welcoming our guests as they arrive with a glass of fizz to serving the meal, the choice of food we had was very extensive and what we did choose for all three courses was excellent, all in all an superb venue with fantastic food and all very professionally run and presented. Well done Anne and thanks to you all. David & Elaine.

On 22 May 2021 we has our wedding reception at The Stables. 13 adults, 7 children 3-11 and 4wk baby. It was just superb. We had fixed our menus beforehand with Ann from her extensive selection and all the food was spot on. Ann's waitresses were lovely, efficient and attentive. We tool a Bluetooth speaker and a Spotify selection of our favourite music, which worked OK, but with a slightly flaky Internet signal. It was perfect for the kids. We took some toys and tablets and they went through to the sitting room after the meal to entertain themselves. As usual we took our own fizz, wine, beers and squash. This is the 3rd or 4th time we have been to The Stables, it is just the perfect private dining venue for any event. We cannot rate The Stables highly enough. Thank you Ann and girls.

Had my 30th birthday here. Perfect place for a small intimate celebration. The place was decorated beautifully, setting the scene and mood. The team were very friendly and to top it off, the cooking was just delicious. The owner is also the chef. She is so friendly. There is plenty of parking and a lovely venue. I would recommend it 100%.

Fantastic restaurant. Great value for money. Sits between 8 & 20 people in a single sitting. Must book due to popularity. Great homemade food & usually more than you can eat. Take your own drinks, even use the mini fridge to keep them cool. Start your dining experience in the reception room for pre dinner drinks, then move to the dining room which is all yours for the meal. Enjoy! Just don't book all the slots or else there won't be any for me!

We Had an amazing time at our friends Ruby wedding celebration. The food was brilliant, the staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend it to everyone. We are already thinking of booking it next year for our Golden wedding anniversary.
