Disappointed to say the least. We were looking forward to a lovely Sunday lunch on a fine Easter Sunday. The restaurant was lovely, staff were very friendly and attentive. We ordered the beef, one pink and one cooked through. We couldn't taste the beef at all. It was served on a king sized bed of pureed spiced carrot and celeriac mash which completely drowned out any flavour of the beef, ruining it completely. The 'cooked through' beef had obviously been ' flashed' on a grill to finish it off and tasted of remnants of bacon or gammon. The roasts were like rocks and the Yorkshire pudding was as dry as a lump of coal that sucked up any gravy that may have been present. As a true Brit we ate, paid and left. Unfortunately we shan't return again.

Asked if chicken meals were fillets or on the bone, we were told fillets without bones, however this was incorrect, we ordered some chicken meals all of which were on the bone. The food itself was OK, although we waited a long time and they didn't bring everything we ordered. When we asked for the bill I just couldn't believe how expensive it was.

Would give ZERO STARS if I could. Rude staff, manager was very happy to belittle myself and my group (of highly educated young professionals). Wanted 2 courses, food was quite nice admittedly, but couldn't bear to stay past the main. Frankly, I would not reccomend if you are a minority. I and absolutely would not return.

Wasn't a fan from my first visit some years ago. What a delightful revelation this time. Food was delicious, staff very attentive drink and service top notch. Well done this time for a first rate visit to all the staff.

we had Christmas eve dinner at the swan with two necks - the food was lovely they care a great deal about allergies and make sure no dish is cross-contaminated. Its a great place to go for special occasions and while the food was great the cocktails we're not that great. We did love the dessert though that creme brulee was perfection!

Last minute reservation (didn't want to cook on Christmas Eve). Wonderful atmosphere and brilliant service from Meg. Had Thai Red Curry, beautifully presented and followed with a Chocolate Brownie (eyes bigger than belly comes to mind). On departing, we saw a beautifully laid table for a Christmas Day party.Obviously working hard to ensure customers have a Christmas to remember. Good luck for tomorrow.Merry Christmas!

It was the greatest food experience I had the last few years in UK! Want to taste all the dishes! Definitely will go again :)

The food and staff were amazing, no complaints there at all! But the general noise whilst sat down made it very hard to hold a conversation at the table :/

My partner and I went for our first real meal out since restrictions were loosened and we made the right choice coming here. We had the 2 course Sunday Lunch which was looked to be a modern upgrade to the traditional British dish. Beautifully presented, a generous portion and absolutely delicious. Service was friendly and fast but not rushed. Very nice atmosphere. We will undoubtedly come again.

Fantastic food enjoyed in a relaxed environment. Visited during lockdown where only outside table service was available yet speed and quality of service was great. Hadn't been for a while, but won't leave it as long next time!
