We were expecting standard pub grub but we're pleasantly surprised by the variety.My husband had chicken Singapore noodles and I had Malay lamb curry both of which were delicious and really good value for money. The pub has a Malaysian chef attending 4 days a week, so I would recommend a visit on the days he is working.

Used to sit outside here years ago watching the narrow boats go by on the canel whilst my daughter sat chilling and my lively son ran around everywhere. There is still a good play area for children and the meals looked amazing (although we just called in for tea and a coke as we were nearby). Dog friendly and a very warm welcome on arrival and when we were leaving.

Lovely Friday night dinner.The pies were great although couldn't taste the stilton.Reasonably priced, bit the food was a bit basic, only one dish on the entire menu (Salmon) couldn't be served with chips!Shame the Chinese menu wasn't available like it said on the website.Really friendly staff, dogs welcome, great interior.

What a lovely friendly pub we walked to along the canal towpath when we stayed at the local caravan site at Kingsbury Water Park. It was a pleasant flat walk which took about 20 mins. Remember a torch if you’re walking at night!The staff were very welcoming and accommodating to find us a table as I hadn’t booked, the menu had a main menu and a Chinese menu, I would recommend the Singapore noodles with chicken if you like spice! My husband had fish and chips and thoroughly enjoyed that too! We’ll be returning when next in the area 🙋‍♀️

We called in on boxing day having traveled down to Kingsbury water park. What a great pub, friendly locals, good beer selection (I love a pint of speckled hen) and we had the Chinese food. It was delicious, and plentiful too. Thank you for your hospitality and we'll be visiting again when we come back down.

Fabulous canal side pub, warm friendly welcome good service with a good range of ales, great menu, very clean and tidy throughout, Dogs are welcome. Would highly recommend the Chinese meals available Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday as well as the Big Boys veggie burger. Would certainly return.

Went here for lunch after a walk round Middleton Lakes. A good pub menu and a good selection of beers on tap. Both were good.

Absolutely loved this place. Cosy little "proper" pub (not a clone chain pub) right next to the canal.Very warm welcome, good selection of beers, delicious food; i don't have the vocabulary to describe how much i enjoyed the crispy duck in plum sauce from their special menu.On another visit we had Sunday roasts and the quality and quantity of the beef and lamb was excellent.Really can't fault this place at all.

13 of us turned up unexpectedly wanting feeding and watering, the landlady and staff were absolutely brilliant. They made us feel very welcome and accommodated us with a bit of jiggling around. The food was very good, good value for money and a varied menu and the beer was cold.We would definitely go back should we be in the area. A big pat on the back to all the staff and particularly the landlady.

Bar, food good. Bar team friendly, fun and attentive. The locals welcoming and friendly. BUT DO NOT STAY OVERNIGHT. The accommodation team/Manager does not care or have a clue. No electricity in the room. Still checked us in knowing we had no access to TV, lighting, charging facilities, kettle (no breakfast facilities available) so kettle very important to us. Shocking management we ended up going home.
