We had an absolutely wonderful time, the service was really great and the food was delicious. The drinks menu was fantastic with a really nice selection of wines. The vegetarian options were limited (as with most non vegetarian restaurants). The desserts were particularly good. It was fairly expensive but for the quality good value.

I love this beautiful place, great setting, ambience and plenty of things to see and buy, yikes keep me out of the garden centre! Organised a table for 6 of us to visit here yesterday lunchtime to celebrate 🍾 my Mom's 85th birthday. The online booking system is very good and you confirm your booking by way of an online reminder a couple of days before. Really good service with a smile and we had a variety of different starters and mains, every single choice we all had was brilliantly cooked and presented. We all skipped deserts as the starters and mains were more than enough. Plenty of cocktails (the whisky one had the most 'generous' shot of whisky I'd ever tasted in a cocktail), wine and spirits to choose from and hot drinks too. 3 of our party drink Malbec wine (not a fan personally) but that was the only red grape region missing off the drinks list. We had ample time to linger at our table which was great. I asked if we needed to move after 2 hours for another sitting which would have been fair enough but we were warmly told that we were ok to stay put which we very much appreciated 🙂. Great meal, great day and some lovely new memories.

Decided to treat ourselves especially to a breakfast at the Fig and Olive. The menu is varied and goes from a large cooked English style meal to Eggs Benedict to Eggs on toast or pancakes. The staff are welcoming and dealt with us quickly and efficiently. The food arrived looking good, hot and very tasty. Its a lovely restaurant in lovely surroundings and when you feel like treating yourself this is a great place. I will say its not the cheapest greasy cafe but its a lovely restaurant. Highly recommended and go and enjoy.

Visited in a party of three for a birthday celebration. Before seating we had a cocktail at the bar - the service was excellent, the staff attentive and friendly. I had a 'Bees Knees', golden rum with honey, fresh lemon, orange juice and finished with some pretty edible flowers. Delicious! Our meals were generously portioned so we had to really squeeeeze the desserts in - but well worth the effort! The variety of dishes offered means there is something for everyone.Criticism: Minor, but it was a bit chilly in the restaurant and the lobby area where the rest rooms are was arctic! Have to add, the outside temperature must have been around freezing.Praise: For our server Alex, who was wonderful!

Had a gorgeous meal here last night. One of my favourite restaurants. Never had a bad meal ever! I had crab as my starter and it was delicious. The presentation is always beautiful, amazing flavours, excellent choice of gins and lovely friendly staff. Cannot wait to return 😀

Wow!! What an amazing place!! The food is beautiful so good that I forgot to take photos and just tucked in. Amazing cocktails and the staff could not be friendlier or more helpful. Very knowledgeable so they can recommend dishes and drinks. They even swapped some meals around for me.Can not recommend this place highly enough

A little restaurant tucked away on an estate with some small business boutiques and a garden centre, perfect for a day out with the family. The restaurant was easy to find with free parking. We had to pre-book for a late lunch. The restaurant was at the back of the estate, it was well sign posted. The atmosphere at the restaurant was lovely, the decor was tasteful, modern and the open space let in great light which was perfect for lunch. The restaurant was following covid restrictions too, so don’t forget your mask.We arrived at 2:20pm and within 20 mins had placed our lunch orders, which we went for a duck wrap, a chickpea flatbread and an extra side of nachos. As it was so late for lunch, we didn’t think we had to wait so long for it, it arrived an hour later and I was really disappointed that my duck wrap and chips was cold. We weren’t able to get the attention of the staff or get a refill of our drinks. The wrap was very average, nothing particularly exciting and tasted more like duck skin fat rather than meat. Eventually when we finished lunch, we waited a further 20 mins before I ended up approaching the counters to get service so we could vacate. As we had a little toddler who had enough. Overall I found it quite disappointing, the price for the meal was average price for lunch, but as it was cold and service was really slow. I wouldn’t come back instantly or recommend. Perhaps it’s best to come with friends for tea and a catch up, but definitely not for a drop in lunch with child.
