The Malt Shovel in North Warwickshire

Just got back from here and had we both had lovely meals. Couldn't fault it. The staff were really friendly. Really big portions. Well worth the money. We will definitely return with friends. A lovely cosy pub.

We went to The Malt Shovel last Saturday lunchtime for a family friend’s birthday. We were there at lunchtime on opening so got great service with drinks and taking our food order. The menu had a massive selection which were all reasonably priced and what struck us was the portion sizes! They were HUGE! Very happy Diners. We really enjoyed ourselves and will be returning soon! Many thanks to the Staff for making it a good experience.

It was my first time there, myself and my friend who is a regular, went there from the place I chose as it was rammed with bikers so too loud for a baby. We were about 40 minutes early for opening time at the Malt Shovel but they allowed us in while they set up for the day. I loved the decor, so nice in there, food was lovely, staff where just lovely and will definitely go again

Had a meal for 4, 3 of the meals didnt come as ordered. The chef does not know how to cook rare, medium or well done. One stake was undercooked one was over cooked and one was burnt. Had a gluten free guest with me and they sent out food with gluten in and we asked for items to be swapped due to this. Its not a place i would rush back too. And whilst there we seen other customers sending food back. The server was helpful and gave my guest a free drink and also offered to replace the food for them . 26/02/2022 @ 5pm

Been using this place for sometime now and can honestly say I've never had a bad meal here. Always quality and plentiful. Would recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic food that melt in your mouth. I can't praise it enough and so mybother half. Best grill around!Restaurant area is not massive but very nice and very clean. Feel like old barn but in a good way :)VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

A really warm welcome, clean and pleasant atmosphere. Food was nice - starter and mains were very large portions. There were a lot of options on the large menu, and prices were reasonable/in line with similar places. While the mains were OK, the caramel cheesecake dessert was amazing!Service was absolutely perfect.

Absolutely unbelievably great, good, pub food! I have never been so full in my life! Both defeated by maim courses. Fantastically well priced, brilliant value for money. Home cooked, pub food, done to its best! We have found a hidden Gem, local to our new home.The menu itself is Vast! I could come twice a day for a week, not eat the d a me thing twice.Staff are warm, welcoming, friendly, helpful. We had a brilliant time. We will be back soon, but won't eat all day before we come next time! Food coma! Happy place. Thank you. See you soon guys.

First visit tonight. Lovely pub and friendly helpful staff. We all really enjoyed our meals which were delicious. The Lemon salmon was outstanding, my wife really enjoyed her ribs and rump steak and our daughter loved the chilli. Wonderful menu and very generous portions. Excellent value and we will be back.

Food was amazing. Only downsides were the tiny carpark (and people taking up 2 spaces but that is not the pubs fault) and the wait time for food. However the food was phenomenal and both me and my husband couldn't finish so had the food boxed to go. It was good quality too large breasts of chicken and large portions overall. Would definitely go again! X
