We ate lunch here, eventually, on a March Sunday afternoon.Whilst it is undeniable that the waiting staff were friendly and helpful, the rest of the experience left a lot to be desired.From ordering our food to its arrival at our table took at least forty minutes. The place was around one-third occupied at this point.Portions were, regrettably, generous. My lasagne dish seemed to have been defrosted, nuked in a microwave and then burned around the edges, leaving an almost inedible mess. My lunching companions got off a bit more lightly, but their dishes left a lot to be desired.The choice of draught beers was fizzy, fizzy or fizzy. Not a real ale in sight. The selection of wines was unimaginative and expensive for what the bottles were.Should I have had higher expectations than the lamentable standard of food and drink on offer here? I believe that I should. You see, I have eaten here before, on several occasions, and have always been impressed with the quality of the food and the value for money available. But I fear that I shall not be returning.

Worst Meal we have had in years. Will definitely not be returning in a hurry. Went on Saturday with Family. Long wait on food and it looked and tasted like it had been microwaved!!!Thank you for your reply. To provide balance, our bill was amended and a free desert was provided thank you Karl

Many thanks for an amazing birthday meal with my family. We were looked after during the evening by Harry, who was friendly, professional and an amazing ambassador for the restaurant. Our meals were well cooked, presented beautifully and tasted fantastic. Thank you to Harry and all the team.

3 of us celebrated an 80th birthday. 9 meals, bottle of plonk, liqueur coffees and 2 pints of beer. Not a drop or crumb left! Excellent service, spacious interior, cosy and reasonably priced food and beverage. I've paid more and left more elsewhere so will definitely be booking an afternoon meal again.

My wife and I had dinner here today. The food was very good. We had eaten at this pub 3 years ago and the food wasn’t up to much. However today was very good.

Warm, friendly, ambient, well spaced out, relaxed. Great service, tasty food.

Excellent service but thee starter didn't come as the description. The Main course came and appeared to have been microwaved, which had boiled over and clumsily wiped off the edge of the dish and it had also spilled over the side and underneath the dish, which in turn had stuck to the table. I must admit that I expected better than this but the flavour although overcooked was excellent.

First time here, visited 24th January for lunch. Great menu, alot nicer than your average pub fare, lovely food, fantastic service. Will definitely be back 🙂

A top quality pub that mainly acts as a restaurant. I had a Black sheep bitter for £4.30. Rather expensive, but I realised I was paying extra for the setting. Impressive menu

A real old fashion themed pub with outstanding food and beers, the wait staff are simply amazing, young Jody was so helpful and made our experience so much better, top top top!
