Food portions were really generous. We had the chicken wings to start and they didn't disappoint in taste or size. The pork belly for main was the same, cooked perfectly and tasted great. Would definitely recommend. Fairly priced for quality and size.

We stayed here as a brit stop.We thoroughly enjoyed our stop. The woman behind the bar was so helpful and lovely. They brought a bowl of water straight out for our dog.We was with our puppy who was relaxes enough just to sleep. The woman brought treats over that she wasn't keen on so the woman didn't accept that and brought a handful of cheese over.In the morning we went for a walk along the canal and into a field just off from there. We also had ehu for just Β£5 a night.Thank you for a lovely stay-we will be back x

Birthday meal with my kids and their partners - 13 of us descending all at once!WOW - they had a new chef and this was his first weekend, portions were fantastic, taste was fresh and clean - not mass produced - and the staff were so lovely and accommodating. We had 4 dogs with us as well and even they were treated brilliantly.Lovely pub, full of character and a proper throwback to when pubs used to serve well priced, cooked on the premises, excellent food to make you go back - we will be going back!!! πππππ»ππ»ππ»

1st class. Very friendly. Rocked up in three campers. Only to willing to accommodate. Roaring fire to dry us out as bee caught in the rain. Had a meal couldn't fault. Would definitely recommend. If you go tell them recommended by the Royal Navy π

We where greeted by as lovely, friendly, cheerful and helpful member of staff. She was beyond helpful, guided me through what I may want to drink, or have.We happily had a conversation with her for a while, she told us all about the history of the business, the food and drink. The garden area, so big, I wish I had taken more pictures, this is a picture of the canal seating area.We will hopefully make this our new local pub, as we need to the area. We took a dinner menu home, look forward to trying out a dinner there. Thank you guys.

Moored alongside this lovely pub for lunch on 15th July. What a treat. Our first visit. It was quiet today. We ate indoors but there is a nice big garden too. Excellent, friendly service. Lovely home cooked food. My Sister had liver, bacon and onions but doesn't like onions so had another choice ready in case, as is the case in many places, they couldn't serve it without the onions. But, there was absolutely no problem and she said it was delicious. My Brother-in-law and I had Smoke Cured Ham, Eggs and chips. He had thick cut bread and butter with his. Both absolutely delicious. 2 eggs each, done in a way to make them look like a double yolker. I forgot to take a photo but this is what your plate will probably look like after the ham, eggs and chips with bread and butter. All our plates looked very similar I promise...Praise indeed.

We love this place. Itβs a quirky pub with great menu and prices. The food is always amazing. Love the chicken combo but tonight we tried something different and as usual it was awesome
