Batchley Rd Fish Bat in Redditch

Was disappointed with the standard of food, rather than slating them in reviews I went to get there number of there website and seen it said chat, so thought I'd contact them that way as Friday night are busy and they could get back to me if they wish when they could ( wasn't after free food), the attitude and reply was as bad as there food bloody disgusting so now I've put it there for people to see, you give bad food and give bad attitude

I went in for a piece of roe only . only 2 customers in front who had already been served . I was stood for 15 minutes before anyone spoke to me . Service not the same ..

Great fish bar cod and chips five star

Moved to Redditch in December and this has become our go to chip shop. Service and food is always good. Home delivery service is a bonus. Only 4 stars as the closing time is very early so not possible to visit chippy after a night out.

Came on here after ordering food last night, and I'm genuinely shocked to see all these bad reviews?! They have to be fake surely? I have been coming to Batchley chippy for 8 years now, staff are very friendly, always greeted with a smile, especially the owner who commented last night how my children had grown and that he remembers them being in pushchairs. Food is always delicious, generous portions, chips are cooked nicely, we love the spicy spuds as don't always get them in every chip shop. If there isn't something available they will cook it for you, and I definitely recommend the kebab wraps they're lovely! Also an important thing for me... they always put a grease proof paper on the chips after adding sauces!! Nothing worse than unwrapping them at home to find all the sauce is stuck to the paper and has been absorbed into it, leaving your chips mostly dry. I can assure that if anyone has had a genuine issue then you only need to tell the shop because they'd be more than happy to sort it out for you... just like you would in a restaurant. Clearly you didn't do that before coming on here and putting bad reviews.Anyway it's 5 stars from me - 100% recommend 👌🏻

Friday 7 may 6pm. Paid just over£25 for 3 fish large chips and large mixed kebab meat. Chips warm , Kebab meat luke warm , Fish evercooked dry hard and chewy. Disgraceful meal not the first time this has happened. Andrew your father George never allowed this to happen. I have been a loyal customer. Recommendations please for a decent chippy please.

Thought I had found a great Fish n Chip shop, too good to be true served two portions of batter hidden inside was a bit of fish, this came with two half full pea and curry sauce pots the one pea pot contained 5 peas, all this for 13 quid !!! what a shame the staff do not take any pride in their work.

Lovely place. Full of locals and fish is good quality. Chips get 9/10 from me but that is personal preference. I like mine more crispier. Great stuff, recently revised opening hours and form of serving. Go online for order and collect. No walk ins

Honest review here i went here today got fish and chips absolutely horrible without exaggeration, by far the worst chippy i have ever visited in my life and iv been to many. The batter was so hard on the fish i chipped my tooth and the fish wasn't very nice either bad sourcing by looks of it. Never again will I visit here

Every time I order from this place the food is amazing perfect consistency every single time ! Fish is perfectly cooked not greasy at all , chips the same ! They deliver quick every time ! Great place
