A lovely village pub. We visited today with friends and recieved a very warm welcome from the landlord. We will definitely visit again. Thankyou

Great pub, very very friendly, arrived after the kitchen was just closing and they re-opened and served us some great food. Really looked after us, would highly reccomend.

First time ever at this lovely friendly pub to have Sunday dinner. Was not disappointed! Beautifully cooked roast beef and the gravy was so delicious. It should be bottled and sold ! We will definitely be coming back. Thank you Jackie and Simon x

Had some friends from Australia and took them to the shoulder of mutton in grand borough beautiful lunch and the desserts were stunning. Great starters and I had roast beef and loads of vegetables wonderful. Peter and Mario the owners make you very welcome and it has a great atmosphere . Will go there again when I get the chance.

If you want to have good food served by people who enjoy what they do pay a trip to this pub. It's a fun place to go and the locals are so nice and kind and include you in almost all their conversations and they are so funny. After a couple of trips you start to feel like you really belong even though you don't live there. Peter is always behind the bar and is always pleased to see you and find out how you are. Grand borough is a beautifull village and would be ideal for walkers ending up at the pub for perhaps a beer or cup of tea. Do try this pub but check on opening times . Perhaps it would be a good point for an art group or college , there is the most beautifull church and lots of classic old buildings and new to. Do give this old pub a try and take it for a lovely old pub with good food and nice people.

Love this little beauty of a pub used to go there years ago and spontaneously had an urge to visit as I was in the area. It was late afternoon on a Sunday I walk in the front entrance and on the right where the bar, skittles and darts where when I last went was all lights off and not being used. I was told to go through to the back room I see the skittles table straight away, walk in there were a handful of locals watching the Moto GP, two being side by side like it was the front row of the stands but very understanding if you have to nip in front to the loo or leave, three were around a large table and friendly and willing to chat and one half way through a pint of Guinness at the end of the bar fast asleep and it made my day. People are very different these days but grandborough is oldy worldie and the people are to, friendly, welcoming and old school. Would recommend a visit if your local or driving near by, 5 stars from me

Excellent food and service! The fish and chips are the best I have ever had and the puddings are beyond amazing. The pub is really cosy, lovely atmosphere and staff is very friendly. I would highly recommend this pub to everyone!! Will definitely be back there soon again!

What an incredible experience. Very warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The food is incredible and very reasonably priced (and drinks very cheap). I would recommend this pub 1000 times! A big thank you to the owners and very friendly staff.

Warm, friendly and welcoming pub. Always had amazing food with prompt service. Also has a big beer garden perfect for summer drinks. Have sat out there a few times and it's lovely. Would highly recommend!
