TGI Friday's - Coventry in Rugby

We celebrated my 55th birthday here today. The staff made my visit amazing by giving me a balloon hat, giving me a slice of cake with a candle and made me shout my name and tell everyone it was my birthday. They then sang me a song 😁 I loved it, thank you! The food was fab as well 😊

Celebrated my 30th birthday here and what a wonderful time we had. Staff are so friendly and our food was lovely. Not sure i enjoyed the balloon hat and chant they did for me but its all a bit of fun.

Excellent food. Tis expensive but worth it for a test every now and then. Jack Daniels glaze is on point. Great customer service by the team. Recommended!

The lady who served me was lovely, very friendly and attentive. The food was good on the whole however the 'blue cheese coleslaw' was very questionable... I feel like we were subject to a kitchen prank because the amount of chilli flakes that it contained deemed it inedible. As someone who eats spicy indian and caribbean cuisine, if I couldn't eat it I have to assume it's now how it was meant to be prepared. I wish I had taken a photograph so others could see.Fortunately our waitress removed this item from the bill however I feel this should not have happened in the first place.The appetizer and main meal for £15 is a good deal. Great place to hold a party. Food is tasty and fresh.Staff are extremely pleasant especially if it’s your birthday they all gather round and sing a song.Can be a bit pricey. But this isn’t a McD’s your buyingCheersDR

Decor is fantastic, gives the tgif vibes. Food wise, steaks were not up to the mark, California chicken burger was okay, lemon herb chicken was good. Cocktails were rubbish. Starters were okay, had better in other tgifs. Most disappointing thing was most of our first choices for food were not available. Staff was good and nice. Probably won't visit again in near future.

The food was wonderful and the service excellent but I have one major complaint. At the table there were many sauces for the food. My particular favourite is mayonnaise. Having picked up the bottle to use I noted that it was Vegan Mayonnaise, so I asked the server for proper mayonnaise and was told that no, they do not serve it. Why? This is a food chain famous for meat dishes, for which, I chose to visit. Have vegan options if you want, I don't object to that but it should be a choice. If the current management at that branch (A45 Coventry) want vegan, perhaps they need to go and open a vegan restaurant somewhere, not force their preference on others who choose not to. The server was lovely about it but admitted that he was so frequently asked for the non vegan mayonnaise, that the minute I gestured towards the bottle, he knew what I was going to ask.

Our visit started off so well but the slow service really let it down.The mains came out in good time and the food was good quality, but then the service went downhill after that.It took 45 minutes for 2 of our 3 desserts to come out and the 3rd still hadn’t arrived after an hour so I asked the waitress to cancel it.She said she would take it off the bill but there wasn’t any real apology.The lunch ended up taking nearly 3 hours!

Service was great..could not fault it! All staff were friendly and helpful. Food was very tasty, a family of 5, all enjoyed our meals 😋 will definitely be returning here!!

I LOVE TGI Fridays. The new lunch menu is small but what they have to offer is excellent! Staff is always friendly (Charlene is fantastic) and if you are celebrating a special something let them know!
