Love how the place had been redesigned.Staff were friendly.Like that it's dog friendly, even had dog treats on the bar.Food was good but a tad expensive in my opinion, but nice for a treat.We'll be back.

Great Sunday roast ! Had a lovely meal and enjoyed a nice atmosphere in the pub. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Thank you, will definetly come back

Great place for a quick lunch or dinner. We have been a couple of times since the refurbishment with the whole family and we've enjoyed every visit.

We popped in on our way home to grab a bite. We had the whole place almost to ourselves. We just went with a super quick ham egg and chips. The ham was lovely, everything was nice and hot and fresh. Even our pots of tea were tasty. A bit pricey for what it is but will defo go back

I had booked for a mums group dinner and was not disappointed. Hands down the best staff I've dealt with in a long time. Food was delicious and service amazing. Can not fault from booking reservation to leaving.

Great pub and even better now with great outdoor seating arrangements. Friendly service and a wide selection of drinks. Would recommend!

Went with friends for New Year’s Eve. They had a singer on he was fabulous. The staff were great and very friendly. Emma the Manager did an absolute amazing job. Had a fantastic night out. So many laughs and made a many precious memories. I would recommend this to all. Thanks sorry much for making our night so special

Went for lunch today. Very disappointing menu for vegetarian members of our party. No sandwiches available which offered the veggie option. Indeed no sandwiches available at all on Saturdays. Overpriced mains which were less than average. All chips for each meal were overcooked albeit only just warm.Missing items from one meal had to be asked for. Veggie curry…only option, was also only just warm.No one asked if food was satisfactory. Poor presentation of cutlery and condiments with no COVID observation.Generally poor and the George and Old Smithy locals offer much better value and range.Will not be going back any time soon.

I have been to the pub today, the atmosphere was ok, good ambience and it was quite busy. Friendly service, however a bit noisy.I felt that the menu is a bit over priced, I had a steak- wasn’t cooked the way I wanted for the money I paid, also it was the cheap cut. No steak knife- I had to wait for someone to turn up to ask for the knife !Well, sorry too much money, I won’t go back for this money !

Great to see a local pub refurbished and opened in these current circumstances. Friendly service, with great quality food! Looking forward to see how it grows in the future.
