Really good meal. Staff were really good. The waitress that looked after us was lovely. Food was really nice and price was very reasonable.

The rudest and inefficient manager I've ever met!! Although we are regulars, today the food was not good and I made a polite complaint about it to the waitress. The manager came ready for fight and shouted at us making us feel bad for it. The lady who was serving was obviously not in a mood today. She even dropped the ice-cream on one of us and didn't even apologise. Unfortunately we won't be back again. Ruined our family dinner.. Shame...

You don't expect Harvester to provide exceptional service, it's usually the regular; nothing out of the blue. We were served by Louisa who is an exeptional, friendly and attentive waitress. This heightened the experience massively and turned our regular Harvester visit into something much more enriched and enjoyable. She even recommended the dessert which was delicious. Thank you Louisa!

We dined here for breakfast last week.We have been enjoying Harvester vegetarian breakfasts for years now but they have taken a huge nose dive recently. The vege sausages were clearly precooked and burnt then dried out and reheated. The portion sizes have decreased and presentation was poor. We only received one hash brown when we used to get two.The scrambled egg was absolutely the worst ever it was so dried out and stale tasting.I asked for a poached egg as a replacement and it arrived after we had finished our breakfast swimming in a bowl of water looking rather inedible. Photo attached! And the only accompanying item you get is now toast ,everything else has to be bought separately which is a shame. This was the worst breakfast we've probably had ever and we've had a few, we won't go back again.Maybe a new chef is needed or are all the harvesters like this now...?

Part of the extensive 'Harvester' stable and adjacent to the Premier Inn, this popular and well run establishment has but one (or two) flaws. As a follower of the Cask Marque AleTrail, this reviewer is always keen to support and dine wherever he sees the Casque-Mark emblem displayed on a venue - except in this case, it is sailing under false colours. The emblem is displayed, but it does not belong. It might have done once, but it is no longer, part of that elite group of Hostelries that can guarantee the patron of a perfect pint. This notwithstanding, the Doombar, Doombar or Doombar on offer during this visit - not exactly a varied choice - was in good enough condition. As was the food - plentiful, well presented and agreeably cooked. The serving staff also, engaging, customer focused and attentive.....all entitling to a higher star count - but, displaying an unearned Casque-Mark emblem...........(?)

Found this place at random on a trip from London to Wales after jumping off the motorway. Marvelous food - the rotisserie chicken and chips were perfection. Could have ate it twice had diet allowed!Spotlessly clean place too BTW.Brilliant, friendly and welcoming service from Joanna our waitress. Highly recommended.

Quite a disappointing visit to the Bell and Barge in Rugby. The booking process was easy and we secured a table (outside as requested) for 7.30pm. When we arrived we were shown to the table politely and explained the process. However, that is when the great service ended and poor service started. After a VERY long wait a waitress arrived to take our drinks order. I asked what draft beers were available and I was offered a large selection of larger. I pushed the point and said I was after a draft beer (rather than larger) and I was offer some bottled beers or Guinness. Having decided that none of those were suitable I asked for a glass of merlot and was given something that was really quite unpleasant. Then, to add insult to injury I noticed another table receiving pints of Doom Bar - which, unless I am very much mistaken is a DRAFT BEER and something I would have gladly chosen if it had been offered to me. Maybe to fix this issue the B&B need to provide drinks menus. The food order was taken quite some time later and after another very long wait we chased up our visit to the salad bar. This then happened soon after and I have to say that part of the process went well. My main course that followed was the Beef brisket which was very dry and rather overcooked. See photo. No one retuned to our table to see if the food was ok - or offer us more drinks (which we would very gladly ordered as I still wanted the Doom Bar), so we left and settled the bill on the way out. I left no tip (and I am normally very generous on this front) and again there was no discussion about the quality of the evening. If there had been then I would be less likely to be writing this now.The best part of the evening (for me) other than my wife's company was the engaging conversation with the young man doing the salad bar who was great. On balance - I suspect we will not be rushing back despite the fact that we live very near by!.
